Re: Target Earth
Love that new funny looking guy. I don't know about the Nag knock off. I don't really care to support any blatant knock off even if it is of the evil Nag and it's the only Nag knock off with a sense of humor to date. Target Earth makes some of the best original figures in my opinion, The designs and the sculpts are great. The knock offs are kind of unnecessary and I think only hurt them the people's perception of them, so I'm not sure why they continue.

Re: Target Earth
Aren't Nags just Dustman knockoffs anyway? So another knockoff of a knockoff. I think this one is in good humor. Like others have said, I think it's just part of TE's charm at this point. Sato-san is uber talented and one of my favorite sculptors. He surely doesn't need to be ripping figs, it must just please him to do so. Or maybe he just wants to crank out stuff that he thinks will sell.

I want it. Looks massive. Any idea of the size? How big is that Dustman (I want that too).

Grabs it from the ground himself, just like olden times.

Re: Target Earth
I was told the river clay story from someone who knows - which somehow makes a TE toy for me that much more. Never heard that Nag story. Johnny Ryan proposes a different material in his one page origin of 4-eyed nag comic. bonemask wrote: Quote: I was told Sato-San actually sculpts with river clay. Re: Target Earth
Just a quick crappy shot of my TE mail day. Not feeling this moon man anywhere near as much as my Longneck version, But the Cosmic Fishmen are great. They feel like they stepped right out of a 70's B movie (even though they are based on a bootleg toy).

Re: Target Earth
Thanks folks. This moon man is the first toy that I have bought as an adult where I have had the urge to take it apart and repurpose it. I think the head would be cooler on its own.

I'm loving the Moon Craterman too! His semi-disapproving gaze is so good.

The moon is ridicoulous and the fishman is even more terribile. I can't understand how anyone could like such a thing and continuing support TE after all the shit he continuously releases. Sorry but I felt I had to say it.

Making his own renditions (bootlegs) of current popular toys. Almost like a "f*ck you" or joke of sorts. It also helps that the sculpts aren't terrible and they have their own sense of charm and playfulness compared to the originals they were modeled after. I also find it amusing that he's running on the coattails of hype from the toys he's knocking off.... and it actually works I don't own any of those toys btw, but I'd prefer different color schemes myself.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I am not offended in the slightest. Spamper you must be a diehard Longneck fan to feel so strongly . I am too, and certainly prefer Longneck's moon man AND Yusei Majin to the TE knockoffs, but the TE knockoffs have their own charm. I think Sato-san is very talented. Some of his older sculpts are my favorite toys. And it's not like everything he does is a knockoff (well, maybe lately more so). Mr. Kopper I agree with you I think sometimes his color choices could be better. The silver moon man comicon release was very nice looking. The color scheme on this one is just kinda blah to me. But I like the brown Cosmic Fishman. He looks like a conglomeration of poop
