One thing I noticed about Maddalla though...It really looks like it might have trouble staying upright. Anyone have one and can shed light on it? I'd hate to have a GIANT shelf diver.

Updated database again. Honestly it should just be assumed that Shikaruna is going to bust out SP's of certain sculpts at every major toy festival from now on. You will usually get a new sculpt with the regular festival version, SP (Secret or Special) version, and usually SP's of older sculpts.

the one on the left is okay. I'd have to see it in person I think to say for sure, but that mini is pretty cool looking! I'm sure I'll get one at least.

These don't work for me either. There's something very clumpy and smushed about them. SD works for some toys like mechas, but these two just don't seem to have the same creative impulse as the elegant sculpts of Chiyos, Kappa, and other Shikaruna figures.

Yeah, rather disappointed in these...what with the bar being so high for Shikaruna sculpts and all.

I mean, I like some SD Godzilla stuff, but I guess I was never THAT hot about the Dorol sculpt anyway. What I would've liked to have seen is a more "figural" mini...these look too static. Like, I love the Dagigon mini...if the Dorol sculpt were made into something as nicely balanced as that, I'd be into it...

The CUBE Dorol is pretty bad. I hope it is a collaboration of some sort (based on the CD in the photo). That's about the only thing that could excuse it in my mind.

EDIT: Dorol is not mini, it is mid-size.

Agree on the Cube guy. I couldn't even bring myself to post a pic of it. The mini dorol will probably grow on me at some point if I see the right one off version. Shikaruna is great with paint apps. I swore to myself though NO MORE KAIJU this year. So I will admire from afar.

I think both Dorols are an epic win!

I intend on buying hundreds of each.
