Now that the auctions are over can I ask whoever scored the Mandarake lottery MB, was the clear orange MG5 the only secret figure offered? Looked pretty cool.

That is a damn sweet MG5 version! I didn't know about that. It is good to see the variation, but I am still a little non-plus'd by the last (now) three MG5s. All are orange and/or brown. The prior MG5 (and its secret companion version) were too alike, AND both looked very similar to the very first MG5 release.

MG5 is one of my favorite figures, however at this point Zollmen Crew need to explore some radical variations on a theme. A TRUE "Hawaii" spray would be nice; maybe a "Jellybean" version (like the KingBee Zudon); even a clear pink or purple would be a change.

Or Radioactive Green...

Purple would rule.

The MB does nothing for me, this version I mean. The orange MG5 is KILLER! The green looks like the best yet along with the light blue one. Hope I can nab a set at TKII, not really into the Zudon by my opinion might change in-hand.

True Zach but I picked up the Brown Ichi (regular version) and it is pretty sweet. Orange based vinyl with brown. Really looks more ape like that the first. The Secret Brown Ichi, which I've only seen pics of here on kjaerholm's blog is friggin' sweet though (then again I love all things brown!). I'd kill to own it:

Didn't own any MG5 yet, but the green MG5 will be the my first if any did pop up. Find the green still the best.

Agree. The only thing I think would would make the green better is If Zollmen could cast it in a GID vinyl.



I thought the Roto-crowd was more into the western stuff so that might work in your favor.

Chris, thanks for the better photo of the Ichi-MG5! It definitely looks better than I thought...I think the "stock" photos were either too over-exposed or the darker browns just didn't translate well on white background. Your photo does this dood some justice, and piques my interest over again!

I understand where the color scheme comes from and all, but honestly, KP was a gross looking sculpt to begin with, and the bubblegum pink and internal-organ red and orange mix just makes it even more gross.
