Hey, I'm just not feeling it...you ain't gotta agree with me!

I just think the artwork is mind-blowing...and YES, I think the rendering (like most of his work) is extremely refined. But anyway, for all the reasons you mentioned, Jeff, I really love what this guy does. I only have one Shuttlegon and I don't feel particularly drawn to most of his other stuff...but I definitely admire the "toyetic" aspect of his toys. Even if I'm not really an Elegab collector, I deeply respect what he's doing...and I hope he keeps doing it.

And, blakewest, I definitely dig Machinders and vintage diecast robots in general...but I like to think I'm no slouch either when it comes to vinyl! I get that his artwork isn't necessarily a blueprint for the figure, but I just love how the artwork jumps out and screams, "I'm a giant monster tunnel!" The figure, on the other hand, would be a little less obvious to someone who hadn't seen the drawing. I know I haven't handled it in person, so it may not be fair to judge it yet, but it looks like the road going up his leg has been sorta obscured by making it too "leg-shaped". And the tunnel dumping out his left hand just doesn't look right with those claws... I dunno...

After checking this guy out for the last few days, I have grown to like it very much. Such much detail went into this. Blue is easily my 1st choice, then probably red, black and finally yellow.

I was thinking the same thing. Initially I thought it was equal amounts of each paint, but 90 isn't divisible by four.

Now I'm thinking maybe it was paint by demand. Meaning whatever colour the winner chose is what will be painted. Meaning something like 40 yellow, 15 red, 30 blue, 5 black (or whatever).
