Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyranno-ju
Well to all the people complaining, this method is way easier than say, going to Japan and going to CKA's shop to get a Bemon. It give everyone a more or less equal chance to get the tyranno ju. If you didn't like the poster you could have sold it and still had the lottery chance.
I just see it as Hirota doing a little experimental way of selling the debut of his new toy.

I think that'd be weird though. Like if he said "you have to buy it to get the chance!" Then I'd say it's weird and kind of annoying. But just as a chance bonus, I think it's a fun surprise.

Yeah I just mentioned that because while I was looking up info on Man Machines I came across the thread for PK's Grodnoid release. PK included "raffle" tickets with the release for special lottery Grodnoids, and apparently some people just bought the toy, sold it, and kept the ticket.

They at least got the toy otherwise. I forgot about that.

And just as a quick side note... The poster itself was only ¥3000 ($36.77), with EMS shipping to the US total came out to ¥4500 ($55.80). And its 29" x 20".

Yeah I actually did the same thing I didn't actually measure it, I just went and re-read the original post HxS made But its standard Japanese size (B2), so its hard to find a frame in the US that matches up to it perfectly, but hopefully I'll be able to find something at Michaels tomorrow that isn't too oversized.

Paul made you send a photo of the toy with the ticket to screw those people who were just trying to win the lottery to buy a more limited (3) toy and sell it. Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyranno-ju
Yeah, and an uncool surprise for those who didn't. It has nothing to do with the fact of loving HS stuff enough or not. And of course I'll get over it, eventually. But I'm upset now, we all now how hard it is to win a lotto... and you add this. It just makes it impossible (if you don't have the poster). I guess Jeff's not bitter because he has the poster. Yes, he's experimenting, he's fed up with flippers, yes he probably left most of them out of the next lottery... along with some people that love the toys too. But it's cool, they're toys so let's have fun. Take some photos when you lucky bastards score the badass dino. BloodDrinker6969 wrote: It ended up being a cool surprise for those who did just want the poster. Don't turn this into a thread like Nag. Nothing malicious or weird or in bad spirit was done.

Other companies have done similar things in the past, including Anraku (surprise, surprise), Shikaruna, and even CCP if memory serves me correctly.

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyranno-ju
For those who don't like spending a ton on framing (me) there's this that's kinda cheap/plastic but good enough to hang and keep off the dust: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70186052/Then there's this slightly nicer one but the dimensions aren't as perfect, inside the matt you'd lose and inch or so off each side http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/30132527/Michaels has this one that comes in 20 x 30, not sure what it's like. Probably flimsy too, but if you're like me and not wanting to spend more on framing then the poster inside it's a good fix http://www.michaels.com/Trendsetter-Pos ... sterframesI know, a little off topic, but since some were talking about it there it is. Any other suggestions welcome of course.

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyranno-ju
Well, I didn't get the poster, but if I did, I would be getting my frame from here: http://www.americanframe.com/You can upload a pic of the poster, and see how it looks in the various frames before buying. My wife used them to frame a few prints recently, and the finished product is really nice, especially for the price. They send you all of the parts and you assemble it. You should be able to put together a decent frame for less than $100.

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyranno-ju
I want $35 or less. I just can't do more for a frame. I'm fine with cheap ass plastic. I just need it to stick to the wall and not get dusty. The image is good enough that I won't even pay attention to the frame so no need to drop big cash on it.

Is this the only version of this toy? The wrecking ball right arm in the print looks awesome!

I just see it as Hirota doing a little experimental way of selling the debut of his new toy. First of all..he doesn't sell bemons at CKA..All of the ones there are Not for sale. They are online through yja and a few other shops these days. ...Secondly experimenting is cool. I just respectfully disagree on this one. I don't want to buy something and RESELL it or give it away just to get a chance to own something else. I don't see how logically this would deter flippers from entering..since flippers tend to enter EVERY lottery. In hopes of reselling. Ask some board members who do this often.. Anyway..back on topic...This guy is massive and best of luck who score and end up keeping it in their collection.

Weren't the Bemons for sale there in the past? Or at least the 2-headed Bemons?

The first Bemons were there for sale but I don't about the 2 Headed ones, I moved so far away from the shop I haven't been there in years. Plus it was nearly impossible to actually get one at the shop later and I wasn't going to travel 6 hours on a train for a very slim chance to get one.

ALLLLLlong time ago but in the past 4 years they have been sporadic. I guess..I shouldn't be shocked that the poster is already for sale at online.
