Hmmm... Also looks to be a drinking glass set, and a sushi set with light saber chop sticks! (Photo stolen from Toybot.)

sorry to be boring but any idea on the shipping to blighty on this puppy? More UK slang. (I had to look this one up) "Blighty is an English slang term for Britain..." I would have never guessed.

Re: S7 Jumbo Stormtrooper (Machinder Style)
Looking at the proportions of this Trooper is so amazingly apt for a Machinder body. Genius.

Re: S7 Jumbo Stormtrooper (Machinder Style)
This is so badass! I keep posting on this thread saying the same shit, but i have to show my love. Expect a big sale from me to make funds for this bad boy because I need this. What a great center piece of any kaiju or star wars collection! I wish I had a fireplace because this would be front center on the mantle!

Totally awesome, I really love it. It will be mine. Takara should have been making these bad boys during the 70's.

No avoiding Star Wars for me now, curse you Flynn. As revenge I will now have to create a meat dish so fantastic that even you will not be able to resist.

Re: S7 Jumbo Stormtrooper (Machinder Style)
Thanks for the response guys, I really hope people like it, this ain't cheap to make, and I have other plans!
To answer a few direct questions: 1. There will be no rocket firing fists, as that does not make sense with the character. That said we will be trying to make the gun fire instead, so we still get some collateral damage. It will be tricky though, as we have not yet entered the final engineering stage. No promises. 2. It is being made at one of the original jumbo factories in Japan. Not an easy task. 3. The body will be blow molded polyethelene, the head vinyl, and it will have hidden wheels under the feet just like every true Jumbo. 4. You are correct, this is a toy Popy SHOULD have made but did not. In response, we are making it to prove to them that they were wrong. 5. As much as I would love it to be ready by Nov./Dec., it will probably be early 2009 before it really hits the stands. 5. Yes, it is 24" tall, and it rocks. 6. No wallpaper yet. Maybe later, but not yet.

Re: S7 Jumbo Stormtrooper (Machinder Style)
If these are offered up to S7 people first (i think i read that in a thread here somewhere), would it be in-store only or on the web store also. shipping costs would be a I FART A LOT for this, but in the end, well worth it!

Re: S7 Jumbo Stormtrooper (Machinder Style)
Brian, I have a question: is there a reason the proto isn't made of wood? AFAIK, the last round of Uni-Five Jumbo Machinders were prototyped in wood, and I (perhaps mistakenly) got the notion that the material was necessary for the prototyping process.

Oh, and the firing fists on the Goji Machinder made all sorts of sense....didn't mean it still wasn't cool as hell!
Seriously though, congrats on this.

Seriously though, congrats on this. Ha ha! I was thinking along the same lines. As well as - wheels on the feet of a Storm Trooper make sense? I don't remember them roller skating around the Death Star... Firing fists or not, I still got 5...er $350...on it. (A firing blaster would be almost as awesome though!)

Seriously though, congrats on this. Let's not forget that Lucas doing SW episodes 1-3 made absolutely no sense whatsoever... it's a toy! Toys don't need to make sense! Stormtroopers don't have wheels on their feet in the movies... the Machinder can have rocket fists!
