I'd seen the blue regular ones on YJA once and they got pulled down. The Green Versions I hadn't seen for sale anywhere until tonight.

Price is steep but then retail in the USA on the DXs would be about as much. They look like a Gem Cronic DX reworking from the photos. Where else were Green sold?

damn, looks like those one off's retailed for about $280 at the show and then they got marked up to $400 over at the cube.... and that's without shipping

So I get that the 'Green' DX is based on that older colourway- like an x-ray version.

The Blue x-ray DX- is that based on the blue blood?

Blue version seems to be based on old Gem Blob.

Beautiful pics! Although I can really appreciate these blobs and all, there's something about them I don't like. I dunno, maybe they're just too busy for me. I really like the earlier blobs, like the CG/clear green and Sunglow. Maybe I just like the simplicity. Either way, the GEM DX stuff is incredibly well done, regardless. Congrats on scoring those Dokugans!

Yes, I like them, and I was really excited to get them, and then when I did..
just a little bit of a let down. They are a little busy... maybe they will grow on me...

I'm pretty sure that if I actually had them on my shelf, I'd appreciate them for what they are; incredible pieces of work. It's just that some of the new Blob stuff, like these and the recent mandarake/murder blobs, are just stretching it a bit far for my taste. Maybe I've just been playing with too many Madballs and Garbage Pail Kids lately and I'm getting used to crappy toys.
