I would have to say yes even though the Kabuki looks ever so slightly duller. I think that has to do with all the paint on it. I would also add the orange Mutant Head with black painted shorts, silver spray, and yellow/green "helmet" to that group.

Re: Mutant Zone - Series 3
I guess I would call it a very limited release. It wasn't even available in JP.

Re: Mutant Zone - Series 3
yeah the evil bat is great, larger a little chunkier and the rub style with a little spray i think really works well with him. can't wait to see whats in store for the rest of this line.

Re: Mutant Zone - Series 3
I'll have to see what paint jobs are in store for this and the kaiser head. I like my charcoal version kaiser head, but I can't see myself collecting these. The Evil Bat is pretty fun in person, but I prefer the simpler OG sculpts (and hone borg). I'm really eager to see what Mori does with the horror series in 6" form. those have to be my favorite RxH sculpts right now. My only concern is that when they go from "mini" to 6" they might lose some of their cool when the proportions change.
If Mori blows these mini horror guys up, I'm going to go nuts. and I heard some where that he might not do the Thunder Lagoon, but I hope he does.
And I'm ready for a new Shintosan! Mori has some really great vinyl colors these days. I might be the only one, but I would love to see another unpainted Shintosan again in that lavender vinyl or something....haaaw man. Or even a simple colorway like the bright green one done free-hand. But those days are over, I think.
OK, back to the topic: Mutant Zone III...yeah...I dunno...

OK, back to the topic: Mutant Zone III...yeah...I dunno... I like the silver spray on black the most out of the three (unpainted, painted orange and this one). I can't get into these overally complicated sculpts, but I might go for this silver one just to see what its like. But there are way too many busy or random sculpts, and like you said, I prefer the simpler OG ones. Smooth lines, not alot of body hatching (or what not).

The wet pavement also gives it a certain movie-vibe as well.
