Ahhhhh. Perhaps I might have glanced at the last bid before it was pulled? Who knows. Pretty pricey for my blood.

It was pulled with no visible bids, draw your own conclusions. Probably a BIN offer off YJA.

Here's a link for Ed and logang (you might need a YJA account to view it, but they have them, should work):

As for the bemon auctions that are "sanctioned", I think it's a bit disingenuous to sell something on yja like that knowing that American collectors are going to make the price skyrocket because he doesn't provide access to them anymore. I don't know what the change of heart was, but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth that he can hold it over his fans's heads like that and make them pay through the nose. He could sell them with a BIN like lowsk8r does with Pushead stuff on ebay if that's the route he wants to go.

Bemon has really rolled the dice here. He didn't provide much access before but now he only seems to flip personally and its usually only the first of the run.

I can walk away now with full Bemon shelves so no biggie but I think he's making a big mistake if he shrinks his fan base for one big flip per run.

226,600 Japanese yen = $2377.9404 U.S. dollars and then you add in fees and what not.

If you know what I'm talking about........

Was it that pink goga? Forgot to bookmark it. Man if it was, Goga is definitely still king of the modern kaiju, price wise.

That's nuts, that toy should have gone for at LEAST $5,000.00 + a case of meat.

Post Re: Anraku insanity!
damn. well this is why I don't (and maybe won't) collect anraku. They look fun, but if ppl got money like that to spend on something halfway cool, I know my ass might as well not even get started. It's hard enough scoring some RxH and that has even simmered down a lot since last year or so.

for all you anraku ansaku collectors: keep posting pics for the have-nots. that works for me. :)

Man, if I collected Anraku, my whole collection would be going up on YJA right about now.
I love toys, but I don't think there's one I'd choose before a few grand.

that's what I'm sayin'. you mean I can pay my credit card off and have plenty left over for selling some toys I haven't even had that long?

maybe that's another reason why I couldn't collect Anraku. I wouldn't even see the toys; just a big stack of money sitting on my shelf waiting to free me from debt, and having to work two jobs.

oh, but maybe if/when Anraku blows up, becomes readily available Stateside with bigger production runs, and ppl lose interest, I'll start collecting. :)

I know what you are saying and I'd be torn.

I was lucky enough to get a hand painted bemon and during the mad hype phase I was a little tempted to sell it. But really I love it and it's my only one and that's what kept me from selling. Now if I have a pile of them then maybe...

But I'll be lucky if I ever get even one Anraku so I doubt I'd part with it.

Post Re: Anraku insanity!
Was keeping an eye on some Anraku auctions on eBay that finished this morning (my time). Final prices were too rich for me, unfortunately (combined with the current US$ to A$ exchange rate!) but I had a go at a couple.

Perhaps they are a little 'more plain' than some of the releases seen, but the final prices didn't seem to be as outrageous as some others mentioned in this thread:
Glutamine (clear green) $270
Guerilla punch (clear green) $260
Mesukarugon (clear blue) $355 [my favourite of the 4]
Nue (clear blue) $361.50

EBay member r***6 snapped up the first 3, a cool $885! A fellow boardie perhaps?
