Bemon has really rolled the dice here. He didn't provide much access before but now he only seems to flip personally and its usually only the first of the run.

I can walk away now with full Bemon shelves so no biggie but I think he's making a big mistake if he shrinks his fan base for one big flip per run.

damn. well this is why I don't (and maybe won't) collect anraku. They look fun, but if ppl got money like that to spend on something halfway cool, I know my ass might as well not even get started. It's hard enough scoring some RxH and that has even simmered down a lot since last year or so.

I love toys, but I don't think there's one I'd choose before a few grand.

I was lucky enough to get a hand painted bemon and during the mad hype phase I was a little tempted to sell it. But really I love it and it's my only one and that's what kept me from selling. Now if I have a pile of them then maybe...

But I'll be lucky if I ever get even one Anraku so I doubt I'd part with it.

Was keeping an eye on some Anraku auctions on eBay that finished this morning (my time). Final prices were too rich for me, unfortunately (combined with the current US$ to A$ exchange rate!) but I had a go at a couple.

Perhaps they are a little 'more plain' than some of the releases seen, but the final prices didn't seem to be as outrageous as some others mentioned in this thread:
