Re: Awesome Toy Fake Baron
Got to say I'm getting more than a little pissed off I still haven't received my Red Baron yet. I mean paid for back in March, now a month overdue. Definitely know who to do a pre order with next time because it certainly won't be Lullbell. Last message I got was two weeks ago saying they would be in the following week and I had to be the one that initiated it. These are out, no excuses. I know Medicom isn't going to hold the toys from them.

Re: Awesome Toy Fake Baron
I pre-ordered through Lulu too, haven't gotten mine yet either. I think it's an issue of them ordering through Medicom, who ordered from Awesome Toy. Awesome Toy sent them out to people that pre-ordered through Toy Underground first, then I think to Medicom, who sent them out to people who ordered directly from them first, and then to retailers. So Lulu would have gotten them after pretty much everyone, and then they were busy getting ready for SDCC, and didn't get to send them out before they left. So it's not entirely Lulu's fault, but it would have been nice if there had been some way to get them out before SDCC anyway, since they were already over a month late.

Yikes. Yeah last time I do that. I always order direct but at the time I had no idea "direct" was Toy Underground as I never heard of them before. Only reason I didn't just order it direct with Medicom like I normally do is to save a few bucks on shipping because Lulubell seemed the cheaper option as there was no EMS fees. I mean I get it that Lulubell are busy with SDCC now (I still don't get that event after all these years and always forget it's even happening) but you know a nice update from them would have helped immensely since these were delayed. I mean how many people could have ordered it from them? I emailed Amy over two weeks ago and she said she would have them the next week. Then nothing. Just send out a group email and CC everyone who ordered it: "Attention -Awesome Toy Red Baron delayed, also we will be in SDCC so we wont be able to ship them till we get back"- problem solved. I avoid social media like Facebook, Twitter etc like the plague (don't even have accounts) so if it was posted there I'd never get any info. Am I the only person on the planet that believes direct contact via email is the surest way to reach someone?

Re: Awesome Toy Fake Baron
I definitely agree that they should have mentioned it in one of their many newsletter emails. The only way I knew about the delay was because I emailed Amy too.

Re: Awesome Toy Fake Baron
Lulubell/Amy has clarified a lot. Got tracking. Did not know the extent of travel these had to go but suffice to say it was half way around the world and then back. Anyhow all good. Can't wait to get these in hand.

Does toy underground send you a separate invoice for shipping?

Re: Awesome Toy Fake Baron
thanks! It was one of three that they gave as a prize for the instagram photo contest they had. I forgot to take a picture of the back; great artwork! This one's staying in the bag

Re: Awesome Toy Fake Baron
I was lucky enough to obtain this limited toy set as a collaboration between Awesome Toy and SlaveXone. It came with a blue Fake Baron and these two Awesome Gero's you see pictured with him. Just got them yesterday in the mail to. To be honest i know very very little about the Fake Baron toy since i was mainly following just the Gero's but this blue one is really growing on me. Might have to try and get some more Fake Barons latter on.

Re: Awesome Toy Fake Baron
That sure is a lovely one. Although he doesn't have the classic appeal of the traditional red, I think he still looks pretty nice in blue. If you decide though that you aren't really feeling him or Fake Baron isn't your thing, feel free to hit me up. I am sure he would look great on a hero shelf.

Idk though i might start collecting more of these guys even if they are not red. This giant robot is pretty cool for a Japanese toy. Iv seen some of the red ones. They have a nice appeal to them as well.
