Barom-1 Frankeruge with one antenna broken.

I think he is a badguy.

Not sure who made him.

in mint condition, this thing is worth a bloody fortune. Rainbow is making an updated version of this guy but I like the original better.

This is one of my holy grails that I will never, ever own because of the price.

Totally looks like the inspiration for the skull-blob-hand that Skull Toys and Blobpus use often. Any pics of the upcoming repro?

I was actually going through my copy of "So Crazy Japanese Toys" on the toilet, and noticed the connection myself.

Yep, Frankeruge is the color scheme inspiration for that Mutant Chaos. All of the Barom-1 villains are crazy expensive. Two are on yahoo japan right now, reservers at 120,000 and 180,000 each. Get crazy!

Josh's art is way better than that repro. Somebody should make a repro based off that. What issue of S7 is that article in?

I've also seen the villains (like Frankenruge) referred to as mutants.

The Chaos sculpt, overall, seems totally ripped from this. 1 eye, f'd up left arm, a little horn on his head, jacked up face. Kinda like the Evil being pretty influenced by DBZ and a little bit of Devilman.

if you take away ultraman and godzilla vinyls the barom 1 series is probably the second hardest line up of kaiju or kikaiju to obtain . seems there is a board member who just completed his barom 1 standard size kaiju collection . not an easy task .

Anyone pick up the newest Hyper Hobby yet? Pics of 3 Barom-1 "reissues" (actually new sculpts). Frankenruge, Yagoderuge, and Kinokoruge. The Kinokoruge is an "ordered though HH" figure.

Yeah, aren't the Barom 1 and some of the mirrorman villians some of the most difficult and expensive kaiju to track down - like the hawaii version hedorah and megalon are easy in comparison? I personally love the Barom 1 villians because they're so wacked - unfortunately now even some of the recent Rainbow figures are out of reach for most people (i.e the mouth monster and the blue version of the hand monster which i think just went for 70,000 yen on YJA - insanity!) - all of these are holy grails for me but I don't see getting any of them soon unless someone dies (and leaves me a small fortune) or i win the lottery :( .
