Newbie Question: How much for a Gogamezilla?
I'm new here and I hope this is the correct place for this post. I've seen photos of Gogamezilla / Gogamejira which is what I believe to be the coolest vinyl toy I've seen in a while. Can anyone tell me what I could expect to pay for one should I find it? Anyone with leads on where I might find one? Thanks in advance. -Len

I hear they fetch high prices. I don't want to start throwing out numbers because i'm pretty sure flippers come here asking questions like this to gauge their prices. They are hard to find but if you bug the right people then you can get lucky.

It depends to the kind of Gogamezilla, with or without inner parts, colorway, gitd.. The prices are on the same level like the prices for the Bemons. But at least you have to decide what you are willing to pay for.
Does someone here know anything about a MechaGogamezilla???

I feel you, but I can only give you my word, for what it's worth as a newbie, that I am not a flipper. I've been lurking on this forum off and on for a while and wasn't even a registered user until a few days ago. I collect designer vinyl, for the most part, and Western vinyl at that. I was just a mildly curious observer of the goings here until I saw a picture of a Gogamejira figure. IMHO, it's the coolest kaiju toy I've ever seen. I couldn't find one for sale anywhere and felt that I needed to consult with the folks on here for some advice and info. I didn't even know this toy existed until about 2 weeks ago. I really need to know if this toy is out of my price range, in which case I would just move on, or whether it may be attainable for me, in which case I will keep on hunting. As for my price range, well, I'm not entirely sure, yet. The most I've ever spent on a vinyl toy was about $125 (The Kozik colorway of Tequila from Muttpop). Still feels worth it to me, but it did hurt a little to pay that much. Having never heard of what a Goga goes for, if one comes available, I don't want to get taken because of my naivete. Nor do I want to be the uninformed sucker that accidentally rewards a flipper by patronizing his price gouging.
I'd still like to know what I might expect to pay for one, but here's another question whose answer might be helpful to me. What is the retail cost for a Gogamejira if I were to buy one new at a typical outlet (presumably Japanese)?
Also, if no one can give me a ballpark price, perhaps someone can tell me how many of them are out there? How limited is each colorway? How many colorways are there? Are Gogas still being produced? Because if they are, then I still have hope of finding one at a reasonable price. I know, I know. Lots of newbie questions. I've tried to find info on the web, but it's scarce and usually in Japanese, which I can't read.
Thanks for responding, Decypher.

I think its the kind of toy you have to search for or know the right people. I doubt you could get one for $125 unless you get super lucky, probably not for double that either. Some people get them direct from Japan but I haven't had much luck and people don't really give away those secrets.

gogas are hard to come by. the two large ones i have were both retail, which coincidentally for you people who aren't sure is around $75 plus shipping if it comes without guts.
my mini (which was part of a blobpus collab) was acquired through a trade with friends here on the board.
good luck with the goga hunt...i've been seeing people paying some retarded prices on stuff lately.
it really comes down to how much you're willing to spend on something. set a limit that you would be happy with and stick to it.

Sounds like the price range of the "older" ones is probably going to be more than you want to pay right now...even if you could find one. IMO, I think you should just keep an eye out; when a new run hits, you will probably see several up for sale (here and elsewhere). Try to snag one of those and see how you like him up close and personal. Then you can start the long, slow, expensive, and frustrating hunt for others .

haha! when i first came on here, i came for the very same reason, the hunt for gogamejira. the clear orange one had just came out a few months before. I had 1 user on here pm me with an offering price of $300, then that very same day, someone else on here hit me with an offer of $200, which i took immediately. i've only seen 1 other come up on here in all that time, none on ebay, and 2 on yahoo (that same ridiculous one for a clear one with guts and they have a starting bid of 225,000 yen and 1 other, another with guts that ended up selling for about $600-700). good luck on your hunt! he's my favorite toy sculpt ever!

wait it out. They are still making goga's (with guts). Supply will catch up with demand and the price will go down (a little). Not many people are going to want loads of these because they are so huge.

i don't know, i guess i'm afraid the exact opposite is gonna happen....seems since the orange clear came out (the last, right?) i've read more messages from new people saying how they want to get one.....seems to me the gogas are gaining more fans faster than the supply is being put out, especially if he's making , what, thirty-fifty at a go? i would love a guts one, but if he were to put a new one out tomorrow, i'm afraid it would be snapped up so fast by his existing fan base, that most newbs like me to his stuff would only feel the wind.
