Thanks for the story. I found it both inspiring and entertaining. That's one for the wires.

Very amusing. Thanks for posting that up. I really dig the costume! Which colorway is the one on the left?

Great blog entry! It's cool to finally get the background story on that costume. Of course the costume is the inspiration for the Kaijin Blobpus! Just the coolest thing in the world ... what a great acknowledgment of the collectors, and what a great little toy! It looks so good alongside the other Blob sculpts. Thanks man, this was fun to read. Lance's colorway for the figure is the best yet. Love the Sunglow, but this one really show off the elements of the sculpture better than any other so far.

Wait, so that's a production piece and not a custom then? If it's production, I NEED it. It's definitely the nicest Kaijin colorway so far (next to KOK).

To answer your question SD, the version on the left doesn't have a 'name' to my knowledge. It is the original Kaijin Blobpus released at Patchi Summit in April 2007 in both painted and unpainted flavors.
Please tell me this is production and not a PK custom.

As for what's in the background Kurt, I didn't want to spill the beans on a very, very cool collaboration. I'll leave that to the man himself! When I saw it, I went

Yeh i wish i had that original pink painted. I grabbed the KOKs and the unpainted pink but have not seen the painted one anywhere since. The Kaijin is one of my top blobpus sculpts for sure, displays great and has lots of character.

That's a great story. A case of Art imitating Art.
