so in the history of secret base has there ever been jp "event exclusives"? i know a few bees have been sdcc exclusives here in the states but i'm wondering what's what in jp. it seems like rxh does a ton of jp show exclusives and i cannot think of one that secret base has done. anyone?

I'm not sure about event exclusives but the GID kaiju mantis were a employee/company party favor...so sort of an exclusive...

Were the Astro Zombies 77 Punk ones exclusive to some event (sold by AZ)?

sixth picture down...the one with the orange eyes...i think that's the yamamoto.

those pictures bring back memories of my trip to LA...amazing collection Carl

oh and while we're at it, for those interested, i think that's the 3/3 bee that was discussed in LD's thread about his SB collection.

unless I'm wrong...:D

both of those are the yamamoto bees i believe. the red outfit being the rarer one. i could be way off though, i am far from an SB expert.

Yes, Pogue is right this Bee with the Green eyes is one of the rarest of the rares. He was sold at the Tokyo Dome two years ago the same way the GID Obake was last year.

I'm very thankful that Secret Base doesn't go to all the festivals like rxh and gargamel. If they did and sold event exclusives I would probably be missing a lot of figures. The only festivals that sell SB are the ones with Pushead (Skull Wing) that I'm aware of.

I think the guy in SB said that the Silver Bee costume was a WCC release and the green SkullWing was an Astro Zombies WonderFest release. It's hard to know sometimes because most *exclusives* tend to find their way onto dealers' websites and in stores.

The Screwbiter Brain might count as an event release too.

I am pretty sure that the black proto bee was a festival exclusive way back when.

By teh way Toby, this is a great idea for a thread.

The green eyed yamamoto bee is a grail - I think Mark is teh only person I know who has it - and its the one Yamaoto bee I am missing.

And yes Ed, that is indeed the fabled 3/3 bee. Wait until you what's planned for this Christmas's Battle of the Collections!

I wish I knew that green eyed bee was so rare!! Last year I had the chance to buy the red/black balzac bee or that green eyed one and I went for the red one cause I thought it matched my collection more. We then sold the green eyed one on SWW for like $50 or something. :?

I will have to dig out my headers and packs, but I think some of the earlier Phantom 8 Man suits were festival exclusives. Or at least I seem to remember festivals listed on the headers.

The chrome bee was a WCC release I think - can't remember which one though.

I always liked the way that came in a square box, but I was always disappointed that it didn't come with the cool silver gray jump suit in teh ad pics. That would have been ULTRA RAD!
