I think I'll have to see this one closer before I make a definitive decision. But as I collect RxH and I also have half a dozen skuttles (mostly the single color and clear variants) I think I will be interested in picking this one up. Are there any more pics up anywhere?

No interest in Skuttles. But I mean, I don't think this is really AIMED at RxH collectors just because Mori did it. It's more like "Hey Skuttle collectors, check it out dude from RxH did one!" So good for Skuttle collectors!

I think it's funny how some people assume that any collaboration that involves a company or person that they are a fan of has to be seen as successful. Collaborations are cool and must be a lot of fun for the parties involved but it doesn't necessarily make the outcome a good one.

Yeah, collabs are fun, and especially so in this case if you are a diehard RxH collector and you like Touma and have a passing interest in Skuttles. Like I said, I'd like to some better pics before I make a final decision.

I've got the double black alpha skuttle and that's all I care to have. Gold mist Shinto is the only dude who has successfully rocked that colorway and made that colorway rock IMHO. shinto also took that neon green vinyl and made it classic. and I have a feeling that once I get the red one in-hand, I'll want to IV him into my bloodstream. wow, I'm all up on shinto's nuts.

The metallic effect of the goldmist really comes through on the skuttle--I have to give 'im that. that thing looks heavy! I almost want one, but I'll pass.

i collect skuttle but not sure on this colorway as i like the OG skuttle with some color this seems kinda lacking

nope. it was never meant to be a production fig. just one up trying to cash in on the artists names.

I collect both skuttles and RxH and i'm not terribly interested in this....

yeah, Mori doesn't make a dime off these. and I bumped into Touma yesterday and asked him about it and he said he know about the piece but wasn't really involved - it was all One Up's idea. I don't normally air dirty laundry like this but this one particularly irks me.

Well that puts a different complexion on things. SO this is being marketed as an RxH collab, but in reality it is a one off that Mori did that has essentially being pirated into a run without his permission?

Did you get that directly from Mori, Don - that this is what amounts to a pirated release? That's a pretty serious charge.

On the advert for the piece on One Up's site, it says it's a Real Head 4th anniversary figure. Plus it has the Real Head logo on it...On top of that, I've found One Up to be a pretty stand up company and have had nothing but good dealings with them.

I'd really like to know if this is something to back away from. If Mori himself has said this release is tainted, I'll cancel my order.

they have mori's permission but not his blessing.
One up has done some fine things but this not one of them.
