I would like a little more to a Hand Paint, but I'm not really complaining either.

yeah -- I'm torn here. I like the sculpt -- the black on its own looks good, but that "paint" job is lacking, especially for what the cost might be.

Yeah, the "drippy" look is really pushing the (lower) limits of the term "hand-painted". Didn't get it in relation to that awful Horselington thing, and I don't get it with the SB stuff. To each his own, I suppose.

well, several people here knew.
Obviously no one wanted to screw up thier chances by raising the odds.
only 20 some odd people were on the list.

Join the FCi and you find about about such things. It does have it's perks.
And it allows the non toy freaks a chance at toys (which then turns them into toy freaks)

And, I kind of like him.
I think most of the HPs are pretty shoddy anyway. (except the one "over there")
But he's a good addition to any collection.

I was surprised that everyone kept this so secret... it was kind of cool, actually!

I have already talked to Hiddy and we will have more Balzac hand paints in the future through the FCi... if you want in, you need to join up.

I know the hand paint on these is not quite as artistic as some of the crazy stuff that is out there... but we are just getting started here.

The "hand paint" does nothing for me. Would prefer the figure unpainted rather than this. If you were limited to these paints, maybe do a split, one side white, the other black and then the orange/red on the hands.

The Last Legend pumpkin is much more appealing to me.

I keep coming back to this thread to blunt the pain of not getting picked for one. Its not working so I'm going to take a lot of medication today and lie around playing Halo 3 (actually I was going to do that anyway).

This shouldn't be called a hand paint - perhaps a "gravity paint". This is absofuckinglutely lame. Manimal might be able to give this a run for its money.

I love coming over to this board...

Though, it kinda resembles this place more often than not.

Yes, that is stronger.
But none the less...
Different strokes for different folks.
It's certainly better than any of those cracked HPs or the previous bagman HP.

Plus that Pumpkinhead guy kind of has more to work with, and the orange wins it, but its also seasonal.
I'm interested to see what the bag looks like with these guys.

But just look at that paint - it looks like a Sharpie paint pen was used. The paint doesn't even cover properly, it thins out where the drips terminate and on all of the curved surfaces. You can see black and white through the red.
