 9 inch Galtan on Knunt
Wow, I just checked Knunt less than an hour ago and this 9 inch Galtan was not on it:
http://knunt.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=666&zenid=524e86a2632b16b83653c1b8e6acbb09
someone nabbed it pretty quick!

yea, there's alot of talk of how this guy's a bit of a flipper, and on alot of occaisions i'd be inclined to agree. I would imagine there was a hefty mark up on that galtan. It's random though, sometime his prices are pretty standard with very little mark up so i don't know how he sources his stock....
Either way if super 7 can get it.... wait, and get it off them

I think i'm going to stick to the regular sized exohead stuff. The massive galtan takes up too much room it looks like.

Re: 9 inch Galtan on Knunt
Does he give discounts for posting his links on Super 7's forums?
I'm genuinely curious because new posters give us 1 a week minimum and the prices are absurd.

Ummm no I've actually never ordered from him, and wasn't planning to anytime soon so no discount here. I just posted it because it's been in alot of talks lately and then suddenly popped up on his site. Was wondering what everyone else thought of it that's all. It was SOLD OUT when I posted it so how may I be getting a hook up? Krudler about 99.9% of the people on skullbrain new or old know of the Knunt site.

I assure you that 99.9% are aware of Khunt.
He would be very hard to miss in light of all the "Khunt has XXXXX figure at 100% retail" spam threads certain people feel the need to post.
Its boring, and it clutters up the forums, but you have every right to pad your post count with up to the date flipping news if you so desire.

Yeah, I'd never actually seen the site until you posted the link... after seeing the prices, I doubt I'll ever go back to look a second time.

yeah..i wish people would just stop unnecessarily promote a known flipper's link.
Even if the price is 5 dollars over. The guy just wants to make money off people. He doesn't get distributed rare items..He buys items so he can profit off them.
Most skullbrainers truly appreciate toys and love collecting vinyl and 99% of people probably do know about his website so let people figure it out for themselves...Everyone doesn't need to keep promoting it.

Never bought from Knunt. Insane prices. But u gotta admit, it's got a lot of nice shit that attracts traffic. The fact that it sells shows a lot of ppl just don't mind paying those prices. Personally I think its a great site for reference (only).
Lately I've been noticing too much debate on what should or shouldn't be posted. Lets chill and give Lixx a break. Forums are all about sharing.

+1
his prices on a lot of stuff are high, but sometimes you can get a piece for a pretty decent price.
i'm not promoting him...just stating the facts.

But at a certain point, you gotta say enough is enough. Otherwise people don't realize limits or boundaries or rules and the noise level just continues to increase. brianflynn wrote: I agree, post this on their bbs, oh wait, they don't have one, they are just feeding off this one without supporting anyone on it.

That was my sentiment too. Some prices are clearly crazy then others not so much. It must be hard to start an online toy store and make enough to keep buying stock... and eat aswell etc.
I dont imagine Knunt is on some sinister buzz to rip people off honestly.

I admit some posts are somewhat meaningless. But then again do all posts have to have be 100% compliance with everyone's standards? What u're implying is somewhat hard to fulfil. Even veterans of this board (not that I'm one) are now confused over where and what to post.
It's essential to have rules but it's a problem when everyone's dictating everyone's posts. I say let the mods and admins decide what's right or wrong.
The only noise level that I sense is this constant recurrent topic.

Not saying that posts have to be deep or meaningful.
And it doesn't seem that difficult to determine where to post.
Just saying that some people are tired of people pimping the Kunt website.
That's all.

Fair enough. If that's the case then I think we should have a list of websites that are banned from skullbrain. Well... that might just fuck things up even more so scratch that idea.

I honestly wasn't pimping his site. The only point (which I guess wasn't made clear enough) I was trying to make was that a 9 inch Galtan showed up somewhere new since it sold out almost immediately the day it came out. Simple as that. I had no agenda or promotion. I know i've personally devoted countless hours online trying to track one down since missing out. I think we can all agree it's definitely high up on alot of peoples "need to get one" list, for those who like the sculpt. As far as the guys prices, yeah like everyone else has said- some seem kinda high. I'm not making a call on ethics or anything else. I ran an online record store in the late 90's and it's hard to strike a balance between profits, keeping customers happy, and getting good stock. Anyhow the only point I was making was: "wow a 9 inch Galtan showed up somewhere". I'll think a little harder next time if it involes a website. I just thought the ridiculous price would instantly say to everyone that I wasn't trying to direct sales traffic there. I mean if it was there for 50 clams do you think I would have mentioned it? Hardly!

I have bought a lot of stuff from Simon over at Knunt and he has always been very professional and ships out his product super quick. He even refunded me some of my shipping cost's for ordering more than one item on more than one occasion... yes his prices are a bit extreme if not comletely insane at times but for someone like me that doesn't have a close S7 hookup or any friends in the business he is a pretty reliable source for finding rare or hard to find items and he will keep an eye out for things if you have a special request or interest in something particular.
Until I figure out how to translate those damn japanese web sites like YJA he is one of the best sources for the brands that I'm into...

We already decided that knunt has fair prices sometimes and sometimes not. We also can't expect everyone to know that people around here don't like the name mentioned. You guys are getting borderline authoritarian if we start telling people what they can and cannot talk about.

Anyone should feel free to post a flipper ticker tape update if they like complete with an RSS feed of the latest most outrageous flips.
Just don't expect everyone on SB to be nice about it.

All I have to say about ANY of this is:
This is S7's house, lets respect that and leave it there.
I don't think that's too crazy, is it? Now back to bitching/praising toys we all love/hate, hhmm?
