It's a 12" vinyl figure; like some Billiken and Pilot Ace releases, it's sold somewhat unassembled, in quasi-model kit style...you have to heat some parts with a blow dryer and put 'em together. Great figure, and there are two versions, b&w and color. These pics you've posted are both of the b&w...and both are at a pretty good price in those auctions.
Mine never had trouble standing...just thought I'd mention that, as the loose one is shown in a figure stand.

Oh, and the eyes on this piece are absolutely kickass- textured vinyl with clear vacuformed domes over them. Very faithfully captures the look of his eyes from the show!
