Rock Hard - anyone info on these?
Hey, I've been eyeing these toys everytime I see them. I was wondering if anyone had any info on them. I've never heard anything about Rock Hard, never seen pics of these anywhere, or anything. If you've got any knowledge, let it drop!

I think that guy Muton has one or two. Could also be Ramos has some.
They look sizeable, maybe 12".

Naw, they're about 6" - 7". And I can't tell if that last one is GID or just a weird, yellowish pigment.

It is GID and they are bigger than 6" I'm sure. Those guys in the top left corner are about 4". I'm sure someone who actually knows shit will chime in soon for you though!

Okay, I'm not too good at estimating height I guess! I'm staring at my Gamagon and I'd say these things probably come up to just under it's eyes.

I occasionally see these at blow out in Nakano.. I think they may have been a Harajuku fashion brand - maybe related to Gotham...

yeah Gotham did make them!!!! I had the clear which was a Secret Base exclusive and I also had the GID version. they are pretty cool and you can find good prices on them! I would say they are about 7 to 8 inches at the most. definitely not 12 inches

 Gotham Figures
Hi all,
These figures were put out by Jakuan's Rock Hard brand. Jakuan does 360 Toy Group & Gallery in New York as well as putting out clothing and figures under his Rock Hard brand....which strangely enough mostly sells in Japan.
The pictures above are of the 3rd figure in the Rock Hard series. There are 4 figures in total each available in a few colourways.
have a look at http://www.360toygroup.com
although he never seems to update the site. You'll no doubt have seen some of Jakuan's 360 projects e.g Kaws Chum, Supreme Camocho, Stussy Raggamuffin and the recent Keith Haring Andy Mouse figure.
Interestingly the second Rock Hard figure (Clay) was sculpted by Cosmo Liquid...not sure about the others as Clay is the only one I have.
You occasionally see Rock Hard clothing and figures featured in the Harajuku magazines like Cool Trans.
Hope this helps.
cheers,
Sol.

Cool, thanks for the info! I like how clean the sculpts are on these figures - and they remind me of something I can't put my fingre on.

I have the glow version. I was told that the figures name is Gotham, but I'm not really sure. It is just over 5" tall and one kick ass sculpt in my opinion.
The last time I was in Toy Tokyo (about a week ago) they had a couple of them. I know for sure they had a black one.
There is a clear version that is a Secret Base Exclusive.

sadly 360 Toy Group is no more. at least as a space...
The store/gallery closed over a year ago and planned projects seem to have disappeared. Jakuan was working on a lot of Haring projects last I heard. This was around the time of the Andy Mouse.
Jakuan was an amazing part of the NY Toy world...I haven't seen him in well over a year...hope he still will keep making toys somehow...
his resume is strong like bull...one of the first guys doing the stuff that spawned a million imitators, both good and bad.
edit: this should be in American idols, no?

Andy Mouse was a abomination IMO. Anyway I like the Booji Boy avatar.
