how rare is Regular Green Skuttle?
How rare is the Regular Green Skuttle? Not Skuttle X, I'm talking plain old Skuttle. Also, was there ever a Regular Green Baby Skuttle?

There are 100 of the light green "Full Color" Skuttles.
There are 55 of the green & black "Dark Emerald" Skuttles
I'm not sure how many "Melon" Skuttles there are.
There is a clear green Baby Skuttle but no opaque one.

What's with all the body part insults around here these days?
I miss the old days of clever arguments. These just kind of...
There was a regular melon Skuttle (defrosted) released back at one of the one-up events I think. There were only a few that made it around, and they went for fairly big bucks.

How old are you? And is the above comment some sort of attempt at humor? You're seriously not starting off here quite well. Insulting people who have been around here for a while isn't going to build you a great rapport.

It was a joke, not quite sure why folks here tend to take everything so seriously? I have never honestly seen a forum more concerned about protocol and noobies cow-towing to the established elite as I have here... and to think it's a forum dedicated to collecting wacky monster toys? I think Jaeger LeCoultre watch collectors are a more welcoming bunch, en masse.
[edit] Despite the chilly reception, I do think this forum is awesome, and I do respect the expertise many of the folks here obviously have, and share. I look forward to learning a lot from folks here, swapping some toys, buying, selling, and yes, engaging in sarcastic banter that hopefully nobody takes too seriously. I guess what I'm saying is, give a Fresh Meat a chance.

I think most around here enjoy the sarcasm and good humor but your attempts so far have been rather blasé to put it nicely.

The riposte may not have been the most witty, but responding in kind and with humor to havingyoursay's snide remark seems entirely appropriate.

There's a board etiquette here thats easy to run afoul of accidentally. Asking for run sizes for example has been known to set off vicious attacks.
The designer toy scene (this denotes Western stuff to me) is much friendlier likely because the run sizes are much larger and you don't need to find proxy buyers.
Most stuff SBers buy can only be bought at S7 and a couple other places domestically. Neo Kaiju collectors have to resort to middle men, proxies and flippers on many things (over 50% on my end).
People do tend to get surly here but on the other hand will often help you a great deal, will try to look out for one another, or try not step on each other's feet in certain buying venues.
Sometimes there's no way to avoid making enemies or people come out swinging over small things (I've done this myself and generally regret it afterwards).
Its actually a lot less venemous here since Brian posted his riot thread.

I understand, but the run size of Skuttles is hardly a secret since almost every one comes with a numbered card that includes the edition size.
I just don't understand why people feel the need to make gratuitous posts indicating that they don't like a particular figure.
Nicky--you'll find more discussion of Skuttles, and Touma in general, on the Kidrobot board. In particular, look for a thread in the Show Off forum titled "Touma Collectors"

I would also like to state that knowing run sizes isn't that freakin big of a deal. I don't care if there is 40 or 8,000 if its something I like I will buy it. Althought I do like my black and white numbered bee set

I think hms's sacarcasm was fine. Just the response he got wasn't that witty. There's a difference between witty humor and just not funny. It's not about elitism, it's not about 'gratuitous posts,'...It's just if you're a Fresh Meat..and I mean under a year a half there's certain etiquette.
Read flynn's faq's.
1. We don’t expect new kids to know everything, but we expect you to at least put in the effort. The search function is your friend. Use it before you ask a question that has already been answered.
2. There are reasons we don’t talk about certain subjects, and there are other places to yap about that stuff. Head there for that kind of talk, don’t try and bring it here.
3. Learn what sarcasm is on the board and develop a thick skin, or you won’t
like it here.
6. Yes, everyone here is a jerk, we already know that though.
It's really not that hard. It's ok to make mistakes..I make tons of them...but learn from them or you'll hate it here.

In addition..Nicky..I hope you find what you're looking for. Not to many skuttles turn up on the bst forum but there are people here who collect them.
Only advice is that people on this board don't really care about 'run sizes' etc. Western vinyl likes to display that information but other's don't. It's not that one is better than the other but it's just the way it happens to be.
Point being..if you like something and want to collect it. Collect it..for what it is.
Cheers

Hi all, thanks for the continued good info. Just two things:
Was "frozenshittytoys.com" all that funny or witty? Really? I don't think so, and to call attention to that dumb comment that proved nothing, I responded with an over-the-top dumb comment. I thought it was kind of clear I was being over-the-top stupid and not really trying to be genuinely witty, I mean please, frozen mom titties poking one's eye out? I think a lot of folks misinterpreted the comment, just get on with it.
Number two, I don't tend to really care how "elite" a piece is based on its run size, relating to the original question, I asked because I'm curious how easy it would be to find one, as I think a Regular Green Skuttle would complement the Regular Green Skuttle X I have on the way. Note I did not ask "how big is the run size" or anything like that, I asked much more generally "how rare is it" so I could get a sense of whether it makes any sense to actually look for one. That's it. Not trying to get into a whole debate about the properness of discussing run sizes, but I'll be honest, I don't see that kind of discussion being a big deal at all, collectors often enjoy reviewing these kinds of trivia.

It takes 2 to Tango. HMS was asking for it by posting something that disrespectfully interrupted a simple and fair toy discussion. But, Nicky.G's 'mom' attack was somewhat over the top.
Being witty or rude can be a very thin line.

Dude... I was ONLY making a point that they're both at fault regardless of what's right or wrong. Get it? We all know your point so let's cut this fucking pointless hate thread. Someone lock this up already.
