Congrats.
Be glad I passed on it.
Sometimes if I'll recognize the name, I'll pass.

Thanks hombre -- I really like that approach to this BBS. There's an honor system, and it's much appreciated by all, I am sure.

Congrats. Complete colorways make for great displays. Gold Mist Shinto is still one of the best, some say THE best.

yeah, congrats, Nicky G.
..Goldmist Shinto is very cool, but sometimes the black one just rules the day, sometimes the red takes over. Goldmist holds it down though.

Haha, Shinto minds think alike. Each colorway shows the figure in a different light, that's for sure. The black one rocks hard. The only one I don't love is the flesh but even that one reveals details that aren't as obvious on the others. Kinda hard not to love the secret green for the way it pops (and actually has a bit of paint on it.) I wish I loved the clear yellow more ... it's a great color but the figure sort of disappears when not brightly lit.

I'm a dork.
yellow shinto = aura shinto
black shinto = unknown
goldmist = fighter shinto
red = blood shinto
green = young shinto/life shinto/snake style shinto/ I love this shinto
flesh = plays off the green shinto so well that I won't give him up shinto/ butterscotch shinto
Niky G--take some pics of your new collection!

Oh I dunno. I wish more people would talk about their interpretations of and reflections on their favorite toys. It may be geeky, but it's a good sort of geeky.
Shintosan has a lot of character ... its connotations reveal themselves gradually with time. I see him as sort of a sentry/protector.

That was meant as friendly encouragement to S7, not an info leak. I'd love to see it happen, especially if something as creative as the Liljapan Chaos came of it. Mori doesn't seem inclined to slap any paint on the thing but perhaps in collaboration with some other entity it'd happen. That's what I'm hoping for. An S7 collab to match the existing Real Head set would be nice, especially if it had some gold as the Orghan Bat and Akro did, but something more rad would be cool too.

I think it's cool that some of us still abide by the list ethic even though the list no longer exists.

I'm slow.
..and I'm kind of relieved too(not about being slow). Six Shintosan releases into it, I'm starting to like how Mori is at the wheel with this one, and that the releases are no paints (save "one" but actually two). Maybe Mori's picking the colorways willy-nilly, but I like to think that he already knows exactly what the next 6(?) are going to be--this (for me) kind of adds to the enigma that is shintosan. I'm really enjoying this figure and everything about it so far.

I like how he released the Junkspot Chaosman and most recent Bigaro in colorways that match the dark green Bigaroid. A Shintosan in that scheme would look awesome. It wouldn't surprise me if a "bubble vinyl" version is released. To balance out the colors, translucent blue or purple would be great at this point ... I could do without "smoke" but you never know with Katsura-san. I love that he keeps us guessing and always seems to choose his colors thoughtfully.
