I know that this is true for both.
Josh posted about a year ago about two different inserts for the clear and the SDCC comes with pre-inserted inserts and inserts on the header.
I have a question also, Joe told me today that there is a Clear Smogun with no inserts, I just want some more information on this, when was it released and all that other junk.

that's what josh told me as well (clear with no guts)
this could be the fact that one of the clears had the guts already inserted and the other was a 'diy' one, ie you put the guts in yourself.
could be a separate version though

I believe these two photos from datadub will make it all CLEAR.
One set, I think, was sold pre-completed with both a paper insert AND wires. The other was sold as a clear DIY set with paper guts on the header.
Man it's hard to believe these came out almost a year ago already- along with all of the crazy Cronic collaborations. I can't wait to see what's in store at the upcoming Wonderfest.

thanks for helping clear it up but one more question...
are the guts from the DIY different than the set with the pre inserted guts and wire?

yes. different insert variant. Even the ones with the pre-inserted guts have the variation on the back of the header card..

Going for more than one variant is a little crazy though IMO, even if they were sold as two sets. The vinyl is the same and that's what's important right?

I think i'm with you on this one. One's for people that are in to DIYing that shit, and the other is for people who don't have dainty enough digits
