Post SB Needs NEW BLOOD ?
I was wondering what you BRAINS thought about the last few SB figures. It seems with the Skullbrains anyway that they are showing a lack of ideas, the last couple have been pretty boring as far as colors go. I was thinking that when I saw a recent post that included these Brains. Seems like there were alot more nice color combos in the past. I hope we can get back on track with what I think helps to keep this FUN. Please no more black-white-or red combos for awhile. Theres a world of COLOR out there ! I am dig'n the GREEN Skullwing though, now thats color.

I agree w/ you to an extent...It's hard because aesthetic value is obviously in the eye of the beholder and different for everyone. There are always going to be colorways one person likes and another does not.

Personally, I could go for some more "kaiju spray" type pieces...perhaps emulating old kaiju toy colors.

That said, the new plush set is cool. It's black, red, white, but hey, it looks good and comes w/ a freakin' plush skullbrain which is nice and different for them. Also of course the pushead skull pirate will be hittin' soon.

Yeah, I mentioned this a little earlier. The colour schemes just aren't as lively. So many peices lately have been Red, Black and White. Orange too. Look at the Secreter's that many are chasing at the moment. A cool series of colours. There has been the pretty bright Atmos and Devilock (??) sets recently I guess, but nothing spray wise. How wild is the Hidden Boss with the fluro Pink and Green spray!! I was disapointed to see the brain in the plush set in that colour combo I must say.
And yeah, one person might like one colourway and the next person might not...but the SB stuff seems to be stuck in rut of standard colours.

I'd like to see more combinations of clear and opaque components in a figure. I've been toying with the idea of doing a "dream" Skullbrain figure for myself.

i wish they would do some new colors as well, like the blobpus multi colored stuff. i think that would get everyones attention. it would be cool if they put out a new damage brain as well. the only stuff i have been buying is their older stuff.

Another quick thought. Not because I don't like it I dig it, but the ORANGE and BLACK theme is getting rather played out too. I also thought the Devilkock colors were kinda cool, but as you may have noticed they have been available from S7 for months now. I kinda think people don't like the logos all over thier figures. The world of COLOR is boundless, can we have some NEW COLORS pleeeeeze !

I know I'd like to see more glows, especially glows with sprays...

And yes, COLOUR!!! How about some purple, green, blue, etc?

And good idea about emulating the old kaiju spray look. All for that!

The Secreters are, as you say, a great example. The combo of translucent and solid is very nice, too, as with the Ocean model, I believe (the one I'm hunting!).

Yeah that ocean is so cool, with the spray on the clear brain, I was never really sure if that's what was going on in pictures but it is really sick now that I've seen it in person, and I haven't taken the brain off but it looks like the head underneath is a couple of different colors as well.

The new ghostfighters that have been coming out are really cool though, the green and white is one of my favorites and the Valentines with pipe cleaners and a heart and transluscent pink vinyl ruled also.

new SB variants will include:

1. unusual scents
2. squeezy figures ("soft" vinyl)
3. 400% sizes
4. 10% "gachapon" sizes
5. puzzle models that have defined break points so you can combine your SB into new and more frightening morphologies

I am totally in love with any clear variants. As Japanese clear vinyl is so perfect (especially the RxH clear), lets see more of it, I'd love to see every color of the rainbow in all clear versions, and internal inserts would be rad as well...total Waldar styling. I have a couple of clear skull bees with vinyl waldar guts inserted - they look good.

The reddish Valentines Ghostfigher would be great in all clear...sssssssexy.....

The Atmos colors didn't really work for me.
Glows, sprays, metallics, clears and intense colors catch my eye.
And more bloody figures.

I thought the only Atmos set that stood out is the OSAKA set, that BLACK-GOLD-SILVER combo is rocca-cool.

I haven't seen that set.
I'll have to look for an image of it, the color combo sounds cool.

Some coppers or bronzes would catch my eye as well.
Maybe a copper with some sort of green...

I think there is only a limited amount of colour options in the actual vinyl, but paint is damn unlimited. Mixing up the translucent and opaque pieces is real nice too.

That's the sort of thinking I'm talking about, man! You could make it squeezy, but put the scent inside the toy, so the only way you get to smell it is by squeeeezing it.
