Post Are there bootleg Bearbricks from the Phillipines?
Each week, a chase Bearbrick on eBay appears for starting bid $0.01 on eBay. It's always the same one. I find it hard to believe that this person accumulated enough of these to list every single week for $0.01

Bearbrick no card = FAKE. Or at least I would think so. They can't have all the chase bricks.

It's the same exact design or various chase / secret and artist figures each week?

I would ask for adtl. pics of the figure they're selling. Look for the text that is stamped either on the foot or leg of the figure.

I beg to differ. I personally have a majority of all the artist / chase and secret figs from every series. It's all I collect, so it 's slightly less grueling.

I think mildew180 means that they can't have "all" of the chase figures of a single item.

It's the same item each week. Always one cent. I've been watching this for a few months, but it could have been going on for years for all I know.

They make bootleg guns in the Philippines, I am sure banging out some plastic bears can't be too challenging.

^^^^^^

The one in the link looks legit though. That certainly doesn't mean they don't have a real fig, take a pic and post it, but then send you some crappy knock off. Again, if you're curious, just ask for more pics and info. If they hesitate or make any excuse whatsoever, then I call bullshit.

You're probably right about mildews comment. I thought that at first, but just wanted to plug my own collection

If they sell the same one every week, you'd think one of the buyers would have spotted the bootleg and reported them though?

Someone got me a bootleg set in Thailand a few months ago. They're the same design, but on a weird, cheap bear platform. They're really sticky too...

The picture may a bit different somewhat in color from the product you received due to different monitor.

Hah! I seem to remember that same copy from buying some limited edition M. Lau Gardener kids back in the day. "Sorry, no box." Ah well the price was right for boots. 8)
