 project 1/6
i wanted to know what all the fractions after the SB figs meant. ghostbuster was kind enough to fill me in so i thought i'd share.
"Hello...Like z said, I'm pretty sure Project 1/6 is a Medicom store. If you go to Medicom's site ( http://www.medicomtoy.co.jp) and click on the Project 1/6 button on the right, there is a picture of the shop and some information about it (location, telephone, hours). They must collaborate with other Japanese toy designers from time to time. I have a Project 1/6 edition T.W.I.M. Pumkinhead Bomber."

1/6 refers to scale of figures originally (not sb)
and the sb, twim, etc from 1/6 were exclusives to the medicom 1/6 store head shop in tokyo

I think you got it there Audio.
Some of the Henshin auctions on eBay are reffered to 1/6 scale.

ding dong we have a winner - Medicom's original businss was getting liscenses to do 12' figures for their Real Action Heroes series - I think Lupin III stuff may have been the first liscence they got. They knd of realized that once they got the liscnse they should make more toys and at some show somewhere they had seen some Gundam Lego customs and the idea to do Kubricks. There used to be a pretty strong correspdence b/w the figures they did as RAH and Kubricks.

Kubricks are technically 1/24 scale as they are 3 inchs tall.
That makes 400% Kubricks 1/6 scale (probably why they chose 400%)
and 1000% kubricks are 1/2.4 scale.

i have a "1/6" pumpkin bomber that i believe was exclusive for the medicom store. but the term 1/6 refers to scale.
