The price of art is determined by what people are willing to pay. 3 out of the 10 have sold, so the prices aren't completely out of line. Maybe a little high but not insane.

ii think the price of art in japan is changing. reason: i just received an order i picked up at mandarake the other day and i noted that on the box custom form it said that the item i was receiving's value was 7700 yen, while the price i was charged on the web was 11000. NOT including shipping. it seems to me that places like kaiju taro and mandarake are wising up to just how much american collectors will pay, largely due to the influence of knunt. he puts stuff up there that the other places have offered at much cheaper prices and it sells. every time. i think KT and Mandarake are taking note and thus, we are seeing an across the board price increase. anybody else getting that feeling? or is it just me? i mean,, i know the dollar is much weaker now over there but these price increases seem to have nothing to do with that. correct me if i'm wrong since economics is not a strong point for me.

If you look at YJA trend in prices, KT have always been following it for a while now. Just observing.

You think Knunt has that much of an influance?
That said, I would be more likely to buy from him than someone else only because it's in english, so I can see why he gets more punters.
-disclaimer- I have yet to use a second hand retailer from japan because I'm scared of that slippery road.

What ??
To me thats disrespect for your fans. These are in no way worth close to a grand. Just because so fool will pay the price doesn't mean they are worth it.
