ok. i've heard of hyper hobby. i've seen some toy editions under the title hyper hobby. i always thought it was some convention thing. well, i guess it probably is both.....i'm not very up-to-date with the inside workings of most clocks. anyways, where can i get this magazine?

Sweet! I love the big guy. I'm not crazy about the colors on the mini, but I still may have to make it my first plane purchase.

But really he is just peeing in a bottle because the flight was so long.

I wish there was more paint on the mini, I think Globby really needs paint details to shine. No complaints about the standard, but it will be hard to follow the last Globby release.

There are a few Japanese bookstores that sell Hyper Hobby in America....Sanseido and Kinokuniya are the big ones. These are usually found in a Mitsuwa Marketplace or in those types of neighborhoods. The prices are pretty good, all of the stuff is a straight yen conversion plus a little on the top, so Hobby Japan and Hyper Hobby which are around 750 yen? (Its been a while so the price might have gone up)...those cost about 11 bucks.

If you buy Hyper Hobby in Kinokuniya here in the US, you'll be a month behind. At least that's how the one in Japantown, SF is :(

Post Re: New Globby and Globby Plane
first this is bwana, not le merde. I'm at his studio making some resin stuff.
Ok, now the post- about the plane. I was excited about this becasue the root is an old alva deck I used to have. They used to airbrush all their decks one by one. Alva molded my skateboarding childhood, and was even the first skate company that let me do any graphics for them, so The plane has kinda a Alva feel. Just thought might be interesting for some of y'all to know.

Hyper Hobby does mail-away exclusives. It's one of about 4-5 magazines that focus on different aspects of the Japanese toy/model scene.

The Globby looks great! I'll definitely pick it up. The Globby plane is very cute. Maddie and I are considering it and it will be our first plane figure.
