The Gebora is a proto type that was sold by Target Earth along with a proto(s) of their Sumogon as well. I have no idea how many were sold and/or if they're all different. That's a nice looking Gebora though.

Now how about these?

That Mightin is pretty awesome...those all look so freakin gnarly.

H. Lee Porter paints Geborahs a lot, right? Seems like that's where I first saw him.

I'm guessing then, plover, that these are very few and very far between...right? I got the impression from the initial post that there was a new release or something. All good. :)

The rest I've never seen before.

They are all protos that were recently put up for sale. From what I gather numbers ran from 1 to 7 for each figure pictured in that Hukkokudo image.

Interesting. I saw the Smogon (top row far right) after Pachisami.
The Hawaiian I picked up about a year ago.

Are you talking about this one?

I think some of these will obviously look very similar to those that were actually released.

Yeah, ignore everything I said, my memory is shot.
I dug up the photo of the one I saw after Pachisami and its obviously different from these.
Too many to keep track of...

Some of the names given to these are really awesome and are exactly what you guys were thinking -

- Sludge of sewage

- The first red tide occurred early sludge

- Heavy-metal contaminated sludge

- Sludge - water quality deterioration

- Blue-green algae sludge

- Sumogon - smog alert lifted

- Diesel dust Sumogon

Thanks for posting those pics. I've really fallen in love with the cruder sculpts of Hukkokudo/ Target Earth in the past two months. So much so that I really don't want anything super detailed anymore. I kinda blame Tim for that as I know he is an avid collector of them. Just about all of those Hedorahs I would buy on sight.

I hate you for posting the Hukkokudo pic, shit! Since they're protos I'll pretend they're not real, I'm good at that, but I have to know WHERE they were put up for sale? A fest/show? YJA? Damn, some of those are insane, I'd trade an eyeball for 1 or 2.

On Hukkokudo's blog, not sure if they were taking overseas orders but I think it was phone only. Looks like a few are still available: http://navy.ap.teacup.com/hukkokudo/

I've always thought the paint choices on hukkokudo's toys was pretty weak anyway (aside from the vintage colors), that clear red hedorah looks nice though,

I agree with your comments regarding colour choices when it comes to these Smoguns. Granted they're protos, but they don't work for me personally. When it comes to the Hedoros though, I don't think there's a weak one in the lot.

Thanks for the pics gang! I love Gebora--one of those many, unattainables to me. But I sure like the eye candy!
