Re: sometimes new threads are GOOD...
I would buy the white rub Chaos. The rub figures were some of the best '08 RxH releases. Why just for show?

LOL you quoted me before I added the "some of" bit. Upon thinking a bit more while taking a dump, I remembered the V3 figures + GID Chaos were also nice. Some nice minis too. It was a thought inspiring movement...

Seems to be a weird pattern of some of the best samples being just for show. Maybe they're too hard to set up for mask/production work? Anyway, I'd pay 6,000/figure if Mori would paint them. (Most of my favorite RxH figures are early releases. Not sure how many of those Mori painted himself, but they're awesome in any case.)

I do have to say that the recent evil with the blue and gold spray is also a favorite. I prefer the figures that seem to have more freehand sprays over the ones that are preciselay masked and painted. The rub versions aren't my favorite, but this one definitely works with the textures of the sculpt.

Re: sometimes new threads are GOOD...
Yeah same here on the free spray. I really liked the color selection on the Chaos rub series. The Henshin Tigers mini rub set is also nice, and the mini red Popsoda half rub/half spray is awesome. Hossy did a great job with those.

Re: sometimes new threads are GOOD...
These are nice...would want to see what's coming on the new site.
Here's my preference of RxH releases from 1) being a winner ----> 5) spending my money on drugs 1) Freehand 2) Customs 3) Blank (with nice colors) 3) Rub (scratchin and mixin on the 1's & 2's) 4) Mask + Freehand 5) Mask (not all but most)

Customs by collectors don't count

Re: sometimes new threads are GOOD...
interesting that some people are so into technique as preference over sculpt, color or even basic coolness. Personally I tend to judge each piece on its own merits. Some color ways just really push my buttons, others rub me the wrong way; sometimes new techniques fall flat, other times they amaze. Sometimes simple is best, sometimes its bland, sometimes complex is just busy yet other times it forms a beautiful chaos. but thats just me.

I just ordered technique in response to kidclam's post to show some difference. Sculpt is probably the most important issue to me versus basic colour or paint or style. I think juxtaposing different styles or techniques can produce interesting eye candy.

Re: sometimes new threads are GOOD...
Not sure if "sculpt, technique, and color" can be tricked out. They're all connected.
The best designs/colorways/whatever bring out the personality of the character. I don't think it matters how that's accomplished.

Re: sometimes new threads are GOOD...
These all came and went. Mori's kind mean like that. I mean I go by once a week and missed these. Well ok in all fairness the gold rub evil hasn't come yet but then again I did ask him today if it was coming and he said, "EEEEeeeeeeeh, maybe." So there you have it. Some stuff he just doesn't want to be easy for anyone to get. Sadist.

Putting an intense variety of figures out there in small to 'ridiculously' small runs is a great way of running an operation.
