I'm guessing this will never happen though.

Just so you aren't disappointed - the claws don't open - just look like they do. But...it does have articulation in the "neck" (head moves side to side), elbows, arms and the ankles/feet too, which makes for a big range of movement. Hope to see more in different colors...
