Post Displaying Flocked Figures
Hi all,
I now have two flocked vinyl figures in my collection, and am torn on how to display them, so I was wondering what other people do. One is the huge black flocked CCP Hedorah, and since that's a pretty static piece (except for the light up eyes) I was thinking I could get a clear acrylic display case for that. The other is the new brown flocked RxH Gatchigon, and I'm afraid that if I just leave him out with his brethren, he will attract a load of dust and be permanently ruined. I don't have access to cases for all of my shelves, so my figures are just out on regular book shelves and not covered at all.
Please, let me know what you guys have come up with!

I just left the Gatchigon in its bag.

I have the black flocked Skullbrain and displayed it out in the open and while it picked up some fuzz here and there I'd just pick it up and blow it off. No harm.
If it weren't for the tail on the CCP I think it'd look cool to have it under a bell jar. I don't like display cubes for large figures, but bell jars are awesome.

When they get dusty, the sticky side of a piece of scotch tape cleans them up pretty well.

Here are mine:

It gets pretty dusty where I live so I like to keep mine enclosed since my toys are out on an open shelf. I can see how this would be more difficult on a larger sculpt though.

Thanks for the replies guys... it sounds like I'll just leave the Gatchigon in the bag for now. I'l have to evaluate the next time I am home if the dust in my house comes off using masking tape, or if it sticks to the RxH flock.

I recommend that you remove ALL the dust in your house with masking tape. Real collectors do that.
