A friend of mine is going over with his gf to visit her family and has generously (he probably hasn't a clue what he might be getting into ) offered to play mule. Since he's not a collector himself I'll have to brief him a bit & it would be awesome if I had some more specific places to send him to than just the local Toys'R'Us. Any (well, almost any) input is greatly appreciated!

I don't recall any outstanding shops there for sofubi.

There are some hobby shops in the arcade mall around the bomb site but they stock mainly mainstream stuff. There might be one shop or two that have some 2nd hand toys with some sofubi.

I went to Fukuoka to visit the Mandarake when I was there but it's not really close and you need to take the Shinkansen.

Of course, I may have missed something...

i did not find much toy-wise when i went to hiroshima (i think it was late 2006,,i have a feeling things have probably not changed much since then)..although i did find a good record shop right by the shinkansen station..lmk if you need info on that...

Yeah, that's what I thought; I figured if there were any, I'd probably already have learned about them on here... Thanks for the input though!
