Post NYC Kaiju Vinyl Shops
Does anyone know of any good stores in NYC for purchasing kaiju vinyl other than Toy Tokyo? Any help would appreciated.

Cool, thanks for the link. Did you happen to hit up either Giant Robot or My Plastic Heart?

I've been to both stores recently. Giant Robot's sofubi stock is kind of limited - mostly stuff from 1-2 years ago. But their selection of art books and interesting odds and ends make a trip there worthwhile. My Plastic Heart has a bit more recent stuff, and a nice mix of Eastern, Western, and customs. Toy Tokyo's sofubi stock and variety are really very impressive. The new two-story Kid_Robot store in Soho is also nice. Plus, heading across the river to Brooklyn to vist Mishka is also a lot of fun.

I apreciate the input. I'd like to check out as many of these stores as possible but I don't know about visiting Kid Robot. I don't really collect "art toys" mainly Kaiju stuff so I don't know if it would be worth the time. I'm interested in Mishka but dont really know much about it or how to even find it. hahaha

I hit up all three locations as well as Mishka on my last visit. If your aim is sofubi, TT is a must. Like Andy said, they have an incredible selection. The other two stores didn't have much but are worth checking out regardless, as they are all in a half mile or so radius of each other. A visit to Mishka is definitely worth the $2 sub fare as well.

...Just don't have an open container in Brookly because the cops will give you a ticket, forget to supply you with the form that you need to send the ticket in with, and send you to the precinct to pick one up. The Brooklyn cop will also jot down the address of the precinct, quoting an address on Broadway... and when you get there, it will be the vacant building next to Mishka. Go figure... when a Brooklyn cop tells you to go to Broadway, leaving absent any mention of a zip code or borough, you'd think he was implying Broadway in Brooklyn, yet he is actually referring to Broadway in Manhattan and sending you on a goose hunt. This will cause you to lose 3 hours of your skate time. Rant rant rant.

I always visit TT but sadly their prices are way too high. As for open container, not something I'm too worried about.

I just visited TT on Thursday. Lorne (m3kcomp) and Nick were very pleasant. First time I've ever met someone from this board. I found their prices quite reasonable. Japanese Kaiju is not a cheap hobby.

I know it's not a cheap hobby for sure. Although that doesn't mean that I want to pay more than the going rate for vinyl. I haven't been there in like six years so maybe their pricing has changed. I'll find out soon!!! :D
