Re: KUMON
YES!!! Kumon rocks! I like that he stands upright and is not down on all eight, in spider mode. Nice skull in the belly too. I would be very pleased if a few of this first release showed up on these shores.

Re: KUMON
really cool. a lot of us are wondering on the size of it. i'm guessing it would be around the 9" mark, but then pics are deceiving.

Re: KUMON
the kc post mentioned above states that it's 5". i love how cleverly the legs are incorporated into the head area. both the front and back of the figure are fun to look at, and i imagine the textures in hand feel nice and nubby great work!

Re: KUMON
Thanks everyone, its been a while in the works and awesome its finally here! The idea first came up with my friend about 2 years ago but he is sooo busy with work it took some time to finish the design. And you know how busy the Gargamel guys always are and I didnt want to make Kiyoka crazy asking him all the time, I was just so happy he said he would do the sculpt! And it came out wayyyyyyy more amazing than I was thinking, originally the idea Yatsuashi and I had was to be much more simple straight up pachi but Kiyoka's style and the texture he added was to good to be true, that fur texture is even more nice in hand. So of course a huge thanks to Yatsuashi and Kiyoka for working on this with us!!!
Bert, its not a standard, I would love to have done that but not this time, Kumon is just under 5 inches.

Re: KUMON
For the first release I thought the skull looked terrible. It was very misplaced in my opinion because it looked like a spider with a random skull. I didn't get it.
However..I think I understand the sculpt better with the third paint application. The skull and body compliment each other. The last picture really looks like the sculpt and paint application go hand in hand.

Re: KUMON
I love the simple black, silver and gold of the original. Sort of an understated elegance. I had misgivings on the skull-face as well, but it works well given the small size of the toy and provides contrast with the heavily textured body. Hidden transformation :3 The legs remind me of this certain type of pine tree. Not sure what it's called, but we used to use them as Christmas trees.

Re: KUMON
this thing slipped in during the time when my toy radar was shut off. glad i came across it because it is by far the best thing i have seen in a long time. just picked up the orange one, and i don't know if he/it will hang out with the rest of my vinyl toys or with my rosbro candy containers. seems to fit in with both! so, here is my belated high-five, baikin!
