I absolutely LOVE the paint app. The "venus flytrap" on its back is great colorwise, love that fade.
Now the real questions are...
is the mini Hormorah an omake?
Will we see it painted in the future?
What's the connection between these two, if any?

I was pretty keen on this new big guy at first - but then I started to get flashbacks of the Cloverfield monster and my interest dropped a bit. Maybe a crazy paint app will encourage me to grab one in the future.. Or GID of course
Right now I just don't see much character in this big new guy.. Now on the other hand, this new mini version of Kai Thunder is outstanding!

Most Jetturre toys appeal to me greatly but the new guy is way too 'sci-fi bug' for my tastes. To each their own but I am personally not into the sculpt.
I also feel like the chibi sized Horumora and Good Robo took the standard sized sculpts, shrunk them, reduced the details and made them cuter in the tradition of SD-ifying something, while the Kai Thunder one is just kind of shrunk down. It would have been nice to see less detail on the body and a softer face, effectively making the sculpt appear younger but that's just mis dos centavos.

Man, I really really loved that unpainted one, but I think that a normal jetture style paint job just doesn't work on this guy. Either we need a crazy grody shogun paint job, or we need to just keep it unpainted. If an unpainted one comes up for sale, I will be all over it, that sculpt is far too good to be ignored regardless of generic sci-fi influences. And personally, mini versions of other figures are not worth the time, I'm seriously not feeling that mini kai thunder.. The regular one is so good!

I agree with every single thing in this quote.

^ Agreed 100%. I do like the extra little Horumora though.
I would love to see more paint apps on the chibi Horumora, my pink one is lonely

Good lord... That is incredible.

I like the fact that the omake can be attached to Kai Hammer.

I am lusting over this hammerhead like nobody's business.

Everyone I talked to was stoked on the new hammerhead figure and it was long gone when I got to the table. Curious if there will be a new color way at SF in September.

Not for my collection but such a rad follow up to the Kai Thunder! I need more Jet Turre in my life

^Words to live by.
Always exciting to see new Jetturre- such unique flavor in their design sensibility. It was the head on the Kai Thunder that made me never pursue one- the sculpt is great, I just don't care that much for regular shark heads. Hammerheads, though... much love. I'll have to grab one of these, at some point.

I hope blobpus gets to do a run to match his Kai thunder. Great new design. Sharks have been my favorite since I was a wee lad. Homerun!

All the new sculpts look fantastic! I missed out when these went for sale at Wonder Fest so hopefully I can find the Hammerhead in this color soon.

I kind of wish both hands had those cool claw hands. But regardless, I think this sculpt is an improvement compared to the regular one. I can't wait to get my hands on one.

Love the shade of this blue vinyl, wish there was a chibi Horumora in this colorway!

The remora omake was a great idea.

Really digging the Kai Hammer as well as the chibi version of the Thunder, both are absolutely fantastic.

It'd be cool if the remora omake would work on the Kai thunder as well.

I don't understand why it's upside down though. It should be flipped.
Sat Aug 01, 2015 8:46 am
Ah crap you're right bryce. Haha, now it's ruined.

I think it's cool. It's just weird why did that.
