I'm not really sure how many brainers are out there that are really into these little buggers but I just wanted to say that these newer Ilanena figures with light up led's are looking super duper nice...!!! And.. if you like them half as much as I do then feel free to hit up Kayoko at Spiral Toy and buy yourself a set...!!! in english orders can be made here... spiral@onyx.dti.ne.jp$75 "includes shipping to usa"

 Re: Ilanena...
Thanks - I got hooked on these a few months ago, and have amassed quite a collection. While it would be insane to be a completist, some of the colorways are well worth tracking down, and this is one of the nicest yet, with or without LED's.

 Re: Ilanena...
this thread reminded me I should post pictures of my one offs with the marbles in the bellies these are awesome figures for sure. I sometimes toss a few in my bag along with booska and bring them on trips. ilanena also has a flickr account for those who haven't seen it. A good catalogue of releases can be seen there, although i've also come across many, many protos as well. Being completist would be really tough!

 Re: Ilanena...
Very stoked about this set. It also comes with the light up balls in each figure, which Ilanena is totally nuts about. Super cool dude too. Very much looking forward to this trio!

 Re: Ilanena...
I seriously considered these...I just don't think they would really fit in my collection. I do like them very much though!

If I bought every figure that I like... there would be no room in my apartment for me to live. I have my own personal vision of what I like for my vinyl collection...as I'm sure a lot of the serious collectors around here do. I'm personally more into old style kaiju sculpts and vintage or vintage repros. I do have some new stuff, but only if I feel it fits in. That's why I'm so into stuff from Shikaruna, rainbow, kaiju ken, yamanaya, US toys, etc. They are producing new repro & original sculpts of monsters that blend in great with the vintage tokusatsu kaiju. These don't fit in.

[quote]These don't fit in. [quote]
Not telling you what to collect, but based on your criteria these should fit in nicely seeing as they are based on pachi kaiju from old cards originally packaged with mayonnaise.

 Re: Ilanena...
Because he's busy getting the rest of these out for the release at Spiral next week, Ilanena may not have time to get something new out in time for Pachisami, but I'm hoping that he will!

 Re: Ilanena...
these might be my first ilanena toys. The paint-scheme is very appealing, but also kind of trashy in its crazy colors.

 Re: Ilanena...
I think it's fine that they aren't GID. We've already seen light colored GID sets from Ilanena this year. I think this set works great the way it is. PLus is has the light up balls hah hah!

I mean, I'm a glow freak, but the paint jobs on these are so gorgeous it really doesn't matter, IMO.
