I'm confused..Did M1 also make a Garamon using this sculpt or is it just NH? I saw a Garamon like this and it was listed as M1. :?

No. This sculpt is based directly on the original Marusan plastic model kit. I am not sure if they purchased the exclusive rights to the design, but there have not been any other licensed versions that I have seen.

^ thanks! it's in direct contrast to the u.s. toys version. funny how the two styles at the opposite ends of the spectrum, yet they're both so appealing.

Well Bill, you sure know how to give my heart the jitters. What a lovely creation that Red King is. Another testament to the beauty of these NH minis. Crude, cute, monsteriffic, everything a person's imagination would create. Whether he is your dream or your nightmare, I need one (or two!).

^ toys so nice you had to say it twice :D i certainly couldn't pick a favorite between this and the u.s. toys version.

^^ what's the name of that knot? i've never tied my shoes quite like that.

i find it curious that the foot markings feature both the original marusan "circle" logo as well as "heroes" (sans "nostalgic") in a circle to match. what does nh's regular foot marking look like?

Sorry for the delay Bill, I have been meaning to get this photo to you for a while. So anyway, here is a shot of the foot markings. You can see on the full size reissues the stamping is very similar. It has the original SAN circle logo on one foot, and then the additional HEROES circle opposite (to distinguish it from the original vintage models); along with the Tsuburaya copyright and 'Japan.'

Nostalgic Heroes is vastly underrated - they've got some great sculpts and I love the mat finish used on some of their vinyls.

I will update with the glow one day--but right now he's ensconced in booska mountain. This is my favorite mini booska sculpt. I had the orange one with me when I made my journey from east coast to west coast... on each hotel nightstand every night. Such a fun sculpt.

Btw, the black version is different than the other releases; he's a little thicker and his head sculpt consist of the main head part and a separate bookan that is probably glued on.

Great to see some activity back in this thread again! NH has some amazing sculpts, and what really impresses me just as much is the extent of their sculpting lines. The T-28 figures are certainly a particular love of mine, and I am happy to see you snagged some, Rei. The dancing Booska is just adorable, I couldn't agree with you more, G. I wish more toys had odd, fun poses like that. He also has always reminded me of a great nod to the vintage 'disco' bootlegs. Hard for me to pick a favourite from that lineup, so I am happy to see you settled on the whole family!
