Re: New Medicom
Amazing release by Medicom. Though I'd expected someone to do goji as it's been a long time since.
Looks like there'll be 10 producers. Wonder who the other 5 are.
But I'd expected a different color from Sofvi Life. Its almost identical to their first blue version. Still its a steal at this price!!!

That's a different one? I was referring to this version. viewtopic.php?f=17&t=33297&p=582943&hilit=sofvi+life#p582943A little more different than I remembered. I'm old....haha.....

Re: New Medicom
Same version, different lighting - both those pics are by Randy, I think. You can see in his outdoor shot that the M1 repro mini is actually the same color vinyl as the new guy:

Re: New Medicom
You know what...I haven't order anything yet! It being Medicom and open order I'm taking my time. Or is this a mistake?!
Is it a real open order or will they close it once a certain quantity is fulfilled?

Re: New Medicom
^ Sorry about that, Jason! Your toy is without question the rulingmost version. kurumonz wrote: Is it a real open order or will they close it once a certain quantity is fulfilled? Well I wasn't about to take any chances with a certain one of the five, but the wording on the site is such that it seems like they are all open runs. Maybe that's the 'war' part of the promotion? 10 toys, 10 makers: WHO SHALL RULE! I'm genuinely surprised that you don't own the OG, Choon - you have a knack for having picked up every single toy that I covet the day before it actually came out.

Re: New Medicom
I think the color scheme (that shade of blue with silver highlights) of the new Sofvi Life Goji is a homage of some sort. The first Marusan/Bullmark Godzillas were in similar colors.

Re: New Medicom
This is what I really hope Medicom will reissue eventually. Perhaps with the success of reissuing the Bandi & Dogface Bootleg they might try the very elusive mini Dogface? It's pretty much impossible to find the vintage version and if you do it's going to cost you a mint: Maybe I'll get lucky again by posting here like with the Nodder set Every time i look at my Devilmen I'm reminded how much I want one of these and I'm willing to buy a reissue.

How I wish that's always true, David. My knack has become naught nowadays, haha. But I do have the brown verison of Pretty Goji. [/URL]

Re: New Medicom
Ha! It really seems like they are cranking out a lot of interesting things. I've been on the fence about buying any of the Star Wars and Superhero stuff. I'm worried they won't be able to pull off Star Wars human faces and want to see Superman and Bats in person. Either way it's fun to see all the new stuff and I'm really excited about the new kamen rider figures and an affordable Pretty Godzilla,(even if he's not as pretty as the OG

Yeah, that must be my favorite Kinnikuman medicom body release (together with Soldier), very nice.

Re: New Medicom
That new colorway is odd, like a mashup of the previous colorways.
But of course ill buy it.

Purple Devilman (1972 reprint design Ver.) reminds me of the crazy Manzinger releases.
Like the Mazingers, I'm in unfortunately...
