Those are all older releases that finally made their way stateside.

Oh i see, I just saw them as SDCC exclusives didn't know they were older releases, I might pick up the blue gogi

I'm considering the blue as well. These are also priced fantastically. When they were first released the yen was a good bit stronger and there was no direct to US shipping.

VAG S3 gachas are now available stateside @ MyPlasticHeart.
You can pick which version you want of each too. Though you can't really go wrong with any of the Mad Barons.
I grabbed a red MB and a blue & red Restore head.

It's my understanding that all of these types of releases with Medicom can be found via Diamond here stateside. So contacting your local comic book store and asking for a special order on these figures may do it for you. At least that's what my contact at Medicom tells me.

God bless you Medicom (I wonder if Super7 is also involved?)

whoa that is THE dream-come-true repro!
here's to hoping for clear limbs, glitter inserts, nodding action, and all the gimmicks.
either way, happy to know i will finally own a devil bado

You ain't kidding.
Those are the repros to beat all repros!

What an epic day. Medicom Anraku releases and now this.
I prefer vintage to repros when feasible but I will hop on these nodder repros in a hot minute. Hope they plan to make them on clear/opaque vinyl like the OG's.

I know! I was really surprised with the AA news, and this just adds to it.
Yeah, Medicom does tend to like to have their own color versions, don't they (which I do kind of prefer when doing repros especially, keeping them separate & easier to identify), but I don't see them steering away from the clear elements and inserts since those were an integral part of these figures' iconic personalities. And hopefully with each character's colors also being specific, if there are any color changes, it'll just be rearranging the placement of the same colors on each figure. Though for this reproduction, I sure hope they'll mirror them after the originals with as little changes as possible.
I do question whether Medicom will incorporate the nodding function, or just sculpt the button, etc. in though.

The real question is will all of these be made available to 'overseas' customers? Sometimes not- due to licensing. I hope for everyone wanting them the answer is yes.

I am really excited to see these work in progress repros too. I am sure they will have some similarity to the original figures, but like most of the Medicom stuff made so far, will be discernible to the discrimination collector. I don't doubt they will have the typical clear limbs, and hopefully the innards as well, though these aren't really something we have seen thus far. I wonder if the size is the same, as these are 'original' sculpts. I can't recall right off how tall that Warhol is, but makes me think standard sized. I am especially excited to see the accessories, and I wouldn't even mind some original designs there to make them distinct.
Sure, vintage is always the way to go, but with certain toys where the possibility of finding them in the aftermarket - at least affordably for most people - let alone in any fashion of completeness, particualarly for the AM5 stuff, I have no issues whatsoever with these reissues. They are what they are. Some vintage purists might hate them, but most will still appreciate them, as will a new generation of fans. I think there is a place for everything. I second the hope for these to be licensed for international sales through Medicom as well. The demand is going to be high, and if not, going through a service is going to be tough.

So psyched for this... confirmation of more Anraku Ansaku from Medicom later this month:
http://sofvi.tokyo/1508010022/http://sofvi.tokyo/1508010021/http://sofvi.tokyo/1508010020/So happy to finally have a chance to purchase a Dako at a reasonable price. Even better, I think this is my favorite color yet (aside from Vader)!
Hope to see more of the Anraku Ansaku family from Medicom later down the line.
EDIT: My apologies as it appears this has already been discussed in the
Anraku Photos! thread.

The pink version really reminds me of one of the old releases of the standard size figure. I was planning only to buy a Goga in the beginning, but I am tempted by this.
And this is driving me crazy, but everyone knows that the figure is not really named 'Dako' right? The actual name is 'Zoromederu'. I think the 'dako' thing started because the full name of the character is something like 'Giant Underground Octopus Zoromederu'. Octopus in Japanese is 'tako' (or 'dako' depending on the reading). I guess this is my personality problem, but it drives me up the wall that everyone has been referring to this figure as 'the octopus' for years.

Oops... I was completely unaware!
All previous sources I came across had referenced the character as "Dako," and I never really questioned it. I probably just overlooked the name Zoromederu had it ever been present alongside the term Dako... happy to have that cleared up.
I myself prefer to use the proper name/terminology (if I am aware) and find myself annoyed when others fail to do so due to laziness or misinformation, so I definitely understand your frustration.
