Agreed (though I confess I'd be happy if I was the one who picked him up from you ). The M1 Nakajima figure is such a fantastic toy. Really nice looking and a piece of cinematic history. Plus, just a super fun toy!

I missed his first purge by a month or so, but I was able to nab a few goodies from round two. My eyes were bigger than my wallet that night for sure.

If you're looking to get him back now, Pickleloaf, check Mandarake. I KNOW I saw a couple (1 bagged / 1 loose) sometime within the last month. Couldn't tell you whether they're still available or what the prices were, BUT I definitely saw them. He's a classic.

I feel your pain! I think that is a common regret with collectors. I have done it twice myself and found myself buying back things I had previously sold - for twice the price. But then MOST things I have sold I don't regret at all. My regrets are all things I had the chance to buy, but didn't.

Kids; don't feel bad. I sold my entire buta no hana collection and the godzilla pants and most of the other stuff when I went back to school and needed camera stuff during the recession. None of you are as dumb as that! Actually, you're all pretty astute.
Gorilla pants, butas and baby zags make good pictures and rock as a cohesive collection. Keep pluggin', you'll find them!

godzilla pants becomes available in waves on yja and sometimes mandarake. they're not too uncommon in aggregate unless you're after a particular release, and prices have flattened out at around ¥4000–¥6000. bagged/header'ed or not doesn't seem to make a big difference in price. one or two make an appearance at g-fest, too, if you are early enough to snatch one before they've passed through multiple dealers' hands.
