Meant to share this a while ago when the figure first came out. Hopefully there are some fine art fans here that noticed...

Very cool. When I first saw the painted apps on the finished piece it screamed to me a Lovecraftian theme.

I got a translucent blue version of this bad boy. Ill list it for you guys to see.

Not sure if this is considered "Fine art" More like surrealism or dark surrealism at best. Nothing wrong with that though since im a big fan of surrealism in general but "Fine Art" to me are like those extremely boring landscape paintings and shit like that.

Francis Bacon's influence is undeniable. Just look at the work of David Lynch, Trent Reznor, and other Bacon devotees.

Ah ok well thanks for the clarification. I always assumed it was a genre with painting in general.

Its still a cool as hell painting. Would like to see more transparent vinyl colors done with this toy like the blue one i have. I know there is a red one to but thats about it for right now i think.

Giger was also inspired by the Figures (the ones at the base of the crucifiction, not the sofubi).
