I'm surprised no one has mentioned the ass-less pants ala Prince. :)

^^
As much as I don't get this and want to shit snark all over it, I honestly think if you like this you should LOVE NinjAlien.

yeah I like a lot of what I saw. Well, i'm not a big fan of hair on toys (except uzumark's dragon smoke) I like both of these creators work for different reasons, though. Both are "odd" I guess.

Edit: I now am in the market for NinjAlien stuff , just throwing that out there.

How could one forget? I personally do not like their style at all. As a designer, aesthetics are hyper-important to me in about every facet of life. It's just not for me.

I do, however, like Earthly a lot -- It's very bizarre, colorful, playful, cute, and all that. It checks a lot of boxes for me. I don't understand the connection you are trying to make with NinjAlien and LeeeeeeToy, though -- Are you just comparing two strange humanoid sculpts and their receptions?

Amen.

Not trying to make a connection, just pointing out the irony of two very "special" toy lines being received very differently. Come on, "bizarre, colorful, playful" are vague adjectives that fit the NinjAlien stuff just as well. Personally, I find the Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee figure and design work surrounding it equally jarring to the eye, but I guess that just goes to show how radically aesthetic perception can differ.

Btw, not trying to start any shit, just genuinely intrigued...

Word, same here. I was curious where your line of thinking was coming from since I would have never thought to compare the two, hence the probing.

Bizarre, of course. Colorful, sure. Beyond that, I don't see their design styles as being very similar at all.

NinjAlien stuff by and large looks like a bunch of junk (I use that word with the best intentions, and mean it literally) jumbled together. I absolutely adore me some garish/bonkers/weird sculpts/paints/whatevers but their work just misses the mark all over the place. The aesthetic is just way too haphazard, even for me.

I think its reasonable to think that these could've been created by the same person. Similar styles and removable head/accessories. Both leaving a WTF? curiosity upon viewing :P

Glad everyone that wants one can mostly likely get one of these.. Price point is difficult, but with the box and accessories its not far off from something like Utsugiyo I feel like..

Also, there's an interview with the creators :

I can't understand much with the auto translate but their collections look nice.

Has anyone else's Earthly landed? I've seen some ig posts here and there. Does yours have a pronounced. forward angled lean? I was honestly not expecting this, and can't say I'm not a little disappointed. It's at least soured my excitement for this excellent toy they've brought to life. I might try to heat and cold water set the ankles.

sorry to hear. doesnt yours stand at all?
the forward lean seems to be pretty intentional
to give it a more lively look.
luckily no problems here, but with sculpts like this same as nag
or mishka bootleg it seems to be tricky to find right angle
especially with different sized heads.

besides this toy is a beast.
massive size making it way disturbing.
keep away from children!
cant wait to see what they will come up with next...

The figure does lean forward a bit. If you look at it from the side , at least on mine the lean is not from the ankles. The legs are perfectly straight. It leans from the waist more like in a slight bow. I just figured that was the intention of the maker and it didn't bother me like some shelf divers I have had. Also I found if you position the head back a ways, which can be done easily, it seems to be more upright.
