Is there a Mechagodzilla sculpt out there that the head comes off and theres a little robo nub underneath it? If so who made it?

 Re: Mechagodzilla Question
Not to derail the thread or anything but can someone explain to me why the m1 mandarake glow version comes with an 2 heads? It doesn't make sense to me. It's been forever since I saw mechagodzilla, does it have something to do with the movie?

 Re: Mechagodzilla Question
Some versions of the M1Go Mecha G have a removable head with the robot head underneath.

I think it's part of our 'job' description I thought this "job" was too good to be true, now if I could just get paid for doing it. I should quote who asked this but I am lazy so I am gonna answer here. I have seen the Mecha & Titano set with and without extra head. I didn't realize about the extra head until earlier this year, I bought them when they originally came out but no extra head. I found the sets cheap recenlty and bought them as they included the extra head! But when I originally bought then they were on the secondary market and it could be that the seller didn't include them. They are not in the bags with the toys, they are loose so people may be misplacing them or just keeping them. There is a set of just the heads on YJA for sale now.

Yeah, mine didn't come with the extra head and inner head. I need to track those down.

I think the ones on YJA now don't have the robot head and they look likethey should. There is no plug to put them on the figure so those look to be the robo dome covers. I need to look agan.

What I have seen is a seperate small bag containing the extra head (trimmed off neck) and the inner head. I'm not sure, but I think these were sold along with the Mandarake MG and Titano set and then sold off seperately from the main set by flippers.

Alex, I am gonna start pming you what I write so you can edit it into something readable. I was trying to get at what you just wrote but failed miserably as usual.

 Re: Mechagodzilla Question
Weird timing...
I was just gonna post a thread about this very topic tonight once I got some pictures taken...
I've had the glow MG2 for a while now and only just recently picked up the extra head set. It was only 1000 yen on Y!J, so I said why the fuck not? Anyway, it had two regular MG heads, painted and not, with the plugs sliced off, and two robo-dome heads, painted and not.
Now, here's my quandary: I put the dome head on my MG2...but the base of it is WAY too thick for the trimmed head to fit on. Do I just need to heat the trimmed head and mash it on?? That seems weird to me...

 Re: Mechagodzilla Question
Just place the head in your hand with the hole lined up with the dome and smash it down real hard, this should solve your problems toot sweet. I recommend about 3 feet of smashing down space minimum just to make sure, you only want to try this once.

 Re: Mechagodzilla Question
So Dennis, Alex, Ian, Sanjeev, anyone... can someone explain the purpose of the extra heads? I got the M1go Glow Mandarake set and it came with the dome head and extra mechagodzilla head. Since they serve no purpose I can assess, I just put them on a glow shelf underneath a gid barugon to fill in space.

 Re: Mechagodzilla Question
You just remove the original MG's head and replace it with the robot inner head. Then you just slip the new head, with the trimmed neck, over the robot head. Once it's popped on it looks completely normal, but you can pull it off to reveal the robot head and relive the part in the movie where Godzilla pulls MG's head off.
I like to make lazer sounds when I do this.

Check. turtletooth wrote: Then you just slip the new head, with the trimmed neck, over the robot head. Okay, how'd you pull this off? Or, rather, how'd you put it on?? The cuff/base of the robot head is flush with the outer surface of the MG head. You'd have to seriously heat up and warp the MG head to be able to fit around that wide a base... Like a schmuck, I took the pics last night...but then I forgot to upload them! turtletooth wrote: I like to make lazer sounds when I do this. Well, who doesn't!?

 Re: Mechagodzilla Question
As I mentioned before, I don't have the extra heads for the glow set. But, I do have the grey MG and it seems to be the same.
The trimmed head just pops on over the base of the robot head on mine. It's a little snug, but doesn't even need to be heated to fit.
Not sure why you're having a problem. Maybe the different vinyl changed the dimensions?

 Re: Mechagodzilla Question
I don't know anything about these heads, but based on the posts I'm thinking you (Sanjeev) might need to trim the opening of the secondary MG head. What I'm picturing is that both MG heads can be put onto the body if the robot head isn't installed - that they both have a flange. So in order to use the robot head in conjunction with one of the MG heads you need to trim the flange off so the MG head is more of a helmet that goes over the robot head. But like I said - I've never seen pictures of this...
