Not sure about the first pic yet. I also have some images of him saved somewhere, but I don't know if the name is associated with any of them.
The second name you wrote could roughly be called the equivalent of "Bullkong."

Hello Subterranean,
You might want to try Club Tokyo. Lots of [kaiju] info there.

My picture's name (from some YJA seller) began with "maxrebobandantnio"
I don't know if some reference to the name is embedded in there somewhere, but it is likely.

no, actually that's not the name... usually the names of the pics at yahoo jp begins with the seller's ID.
if you check maxrebobandantnio is a seller... btw, he has pretty cool vintage toys listed!

It's a Kaiju from Ultraman Leo. I don't know the name.
It was the last, amongst a few. of Bullmark's last vinyls before they ceased production in the 70's.
That's one of my coulda ,woulda ,shoulas. I passed on it as a kid.
They fetch extremely high prices when the show up on Bay.
Looks like some sort of sea monkey.

Maybe we can find out through the seller if somebody can't produce a name quickly enough...

Do YJA sellers respond if you ask in english? or is it best to try and convert it to japanese?

Hyper - look t the name closely. Max Rebo is the Band from ROTJ, and I am guessing this person is a Frito fan or like Mexican revolutionaries and doesn't translate Engrish to well. Too Funny!

yep, it's giro. If you notice it is flesh vinyl, all the leo vinyls are based on flesh vinyl. All the leo kaiju are hard to track down, and are a little smaller than your usual standard size vinyl checking in around 8" instead of 9". Now that is pure geekdom!
The other guy from captain ultra I am spacing on right now, give me a moment and I will remember.

Hyperparasite was right about the 2nd pic (except for the "roughly the equivalent of" part). His name is definitely Bullkong and, as you already know, he's from "Captain Ultra". Um... by the way, is Brian still "spacing"? Should someone go check?

The only reason I included the "roughly equivalent" part is because there is always some lability when you are converting names written in katakana. Often you have to make some inferences. If you were to merely directly phonetically transliterate it, the sound would be "Burukongu," so of course you could extrapolate any number of possible names from that...but it definitely sounded like they were trying for "Bullkong."
Similarly, if you never knew the English term "BLOBPUS," it might be hard to make the inferential leap from the Japanese equivalent: "Buroppasu."
These are the kind of quandaries that "toy archaeologists" and lingusists will be pondering over centuries from now when they are unearthing our artifactual figure collections for their doctoral dissertation research...
