Post organisational skills
I am at a stage where my header cards and bags are filling up one corner of my room, and I am starting to regret for not being more organized with these. I am forgetting already some of them and who they belong to.

How do you guys get organized with this? Do you take pictures, file them by brands in clear folders? Would be great to hear what you guys n gals do.

I just jot down the name/desc/color of the figure on post-it and stick it on the inside of header. Then stick header in bag and fold it up. (takes up such a little amount of space that I wish ALL toys come in bags!)

In the past I wrote in pencil on inside of header but think the post-it way is much more indicative of my OCD ways. ;-)

+1 Same here

Note what it is and how much I paid.

Then stick it to the header and the header in the plastic bag.

Keep them all safe in another zip bag in a cardboard box. Takes up very little space and is very organized and clean.

hey that's a great idea, I think I better start on this or else it's getting out of control. i was taking pictures also and categorizing them on my iphoto, but it's time consuming.

I put the header card and staples in the bag, press out the air and keep them in metal boxes from Ikea.

I keep the headers in a photo album, and bags in a tupperbox. And I keep the staples too in with the bags.

I place a note in the ones, I wouldn't remember, but most I know by site, like SB and Gargamel

I put all of the headers into a photo album recently, they were just sitting in a box and I'd rather be able to flip through a book and look at them. The bags are in a box though, I'd say the bags will fit the header, big header = big bag, or whatever it would be close enough, I'm not to worried about it.

Hell - I even keep the air out of the bag in special pressurized containers. There are subtle differences from the offgassing of, say a Marmit Vinyl Paradise figure & an M1Go vinyl figure. Stanky with just a hint of formaldehyde.

i have been buying random figues lately and it is really getting confusing. some companies have bags that are like twice the width and they fold the plastic in on both ends, I think this is for fat items so it can have more rooms...but I am guessing

That is a good idea! Why didn't I think of that. ;-) I'm constantly trying to jog my memory for prices I originally paid for things.

I've now got a ton of post-its to update!

oops, i was thinking SB. my bad!

i keep all my SB bags together and the headers separately since the bags are standard sizes (for SB)

for all other companies i keep the headers with the original bags.
