 Repros-Henshin Cyborg
I dont have the Devilman or Ultraman newer repro but they look like they come on a repro heshin body..Is this wrong and if not, good news, the average repro was going for $43 dollars as far as i could see and you can find the Devilman and Ultraman newer repros all over the place for around 50 bucks!!!

JHR,
I may be wrong (and I probably am) but I remember when I was carrying the 40th Anniversary HEnshin Ultraman's about a year or so ago, someone told me the bodies do not fit the new suits. I think it is the leg/feet problem again.
MutonIMF anyone?

I've had a look at some online, but it is hard to see the actual body clearly enough. There is a devil man one on the Bay at the moment and the body looks like a retro Henshin, but it's hard to tell for sure. I've thought about the posibility of using the bodies myself, just haven't been sure they are the right body.
Maybe Mutonismyfriend might know for sure.
Also, did anyone see the weird SB suit auctions on the Bay? Might still be going, but there was one for a Devil phantom and one for a Toxic phantom. Both came with the suit and a King Waldar retro body minus hands, feet and head. To top it off though, both auctions also came with a butchered Takara repro vinyl Satan King made into a suit of it's own!!!! You get the head, hands and feet as well as the chest armour that's been cut from the body!!! Before I got my SB suits I did this with the gloves head and feet onto a Henshin body and it works ok, but I didn't cut the chest armour off the Satan King figure!!

Alright -I have taken and removed the suit from my 40Anni Ultra and the Cyborg 99 Spectreman. Here they are side by side. Major things I noticed - the head does not remove from the Anniversary edition at all!! You can if you want to cut it off the inner metal head. You will need to be very careful but it looks like it can be done. Second - the 99's shoulders are broader and I could barely get the Ultraman suit on it, It is streched WAY tight on the 99. The articulation on the Anniversary is also more GI Joe like (think original 12" Joe) whereas the 99 has all the magnetic jointing and the double knee and elbows.
Take a look and compre and contrast! I may be able to get a few of the Ultra 7 Anni's - so LMK. Price is right around $50.00 plus about $9.00 S&H (If I can get them that is).

Cheers Dr.Tongue.
The anniversary edition does indeed look like the repro bodies I have been buying. The forearms look a little thinner though from memory, but maybe not. The head should come off - they are just very tough to remove as it seals over a lip on the neck. Definitely looks like this is a winner for those needing a body though. The magnet 99 body won't work tho.
HOTTROD - I have a pink skulltoys suit and have ordered a black/silver one. Which are you asking on? They are a cool suit though. The tri-skull head is sweet. I can't wait to see the black/silver on a body. Gonna look mean.

This is great..I was hoping to find an alternative source for bodies due to the recent unavailability of them....OK heres a pic of the King Walder IIs on top, which wont fit the suits
And below is a repro body but w/the suit on-i didnt want to start tearing the suits off of my guys-Im just lazy like that-lol

Moriachi!
Yeha there is a lip on there all right but I am afraid I am goingto break it trying to pull the head off. It looks sealed on. As I said - I looks as if I may nave to get and exacto (hobby) knife out and see if I can skin it! Maybe that is the thing that was different from the repro's and the Anniversary's ?

Yeah, that Ultraman Anniversary body is the right one. Is the head soft oon it Dr.Tongue. I'm pretty sure it would come off. You know how tough they are to remove HOTTROD!! I didn't think the head on my first Henshin would come off but it did eventually. Just got to get rough.
So, I'm saying that these anniversary sets would take the SB and others suits.

Yeah, these suited bodies seem fairly common at the moment. Much more than the straight bodies now and similar prices. I'm good for bodies at the moment, but probably should keep my eyes peeled for another one or two.

Here I am, like waaaaaaaaaaaaaay tooo late. Those repro bodies fir the suits just fine...but I'm sure someone already said that. mmm, I've used them myself, but I like to leave the head on and squeeze the outer head around that. I actually thought the heads did come off, in fact my first two Ultra Man repros came with an extra flesh tone head taped to the outside of the box. (I got mine from Takara in Japan, and paid bucks, then they were cheap here and I wept). I do know that the vinyl is a bit hard and non-flexi tho!
Still blows me away that everyone likes these guys now! RAD!

Yes, I have the Devilman and it comes in a similar box.
My problem is that the Skull Toys pink inner head and outer head will NOT fit on the Henshin Cyborg doll head. (the box says these guys are called the Henshin Collection)
I've even heated up the outer head and got it mushy. Still no luck. Maybe I am just Henshin handicaped...?

Ive found the same to be true of the Death Phantom suit where the large head doesnt fit the soft head but is way too big for the mini head also..The normal cyclops head fits just fine though
