 Nakajima Wrestlers
Just starting to collect Nakajima wrestlers. I just picked this guy up on YJP. Does anyone happen to know his name? Does anyone know of a link that gives a list of all the wrestlers made by Nakajima? I tried searching the forums and google search, but I didn't find much. Thanks!

Whoa! Thanks for the link Josh! Lots of info there! I forgot to ask, why do they have those sashes, or what do they signify?

 Re: Nakajima Wrestlers
Well, I DID think of that analogy, but I didn't think it would apply in this particular case ...good one!

Try this one: http://homepage2.nifty.com/akazonae/softvinyl/museum/nakajima/main.htmlPhotos of all standards, but missing a bunch of the minis. What does the sash signify? There are a lot of modern vinyls that come with sashes, too.

His sash says The Great Zebra. Can't read the feet.

 Re: Nakajima Wrestlers
i think the zebra is 30 cm, not inches. its about a foot tall.
the sashes have the characters name on them, like a beauty pangent. maybe wrestlers in japan used to wear them?

 Re: Nakajima Wrestlers
The Great Zebra is one of the many characters from the wildly popular TIGER MASK manga and anime. He was one of the hero's comrade in arms. If you're interested in these, you should check out the manga and anime (which has an awesome theme song and music by Shunsuke Kikuchi). Here's a primer: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiger_Mask

 Re: Nakajima Wrestlers
Thank you Toy Gurus! I really appreciate all of the excellent info and links. I'm even more addicted to them now . Thanks for that translation Yuck! I guess they are a beauty sash of some sorts, so Joe, you were on the right track after all! Yippee! Hubby tells me I got 3 package slips while I was away from home. That means my Celga goodies and my Piranian Nakajima Wrestler must be sitting patiently at the post office! Can't wait to get home from work travel!
