Got this giant sized Bandai Kamen Rider for a great price. He is a bit roughed up, so I am going to attempt some cleaning, and has no mask, but still, I enjoy him.

Also found these whistles which came in a box recently from Japan :)

Ahhhh so you scored the Giant-sized KR. I forgot to remind myself to bid. $67 was a steal, even roughed up and no helmet.

Not vintage, but a Unifive repro. I've never seen this version before:

Image

Went for insane money- 49500 yen for a repro????!

http://page5.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/e129552302

Is it super rare or something? Just seemed excessive. I saw a mini version of it before:

And I know of three other versions Unifive released:

While I do like, nay love, that colour scheme, that is utterly ridiculous for any modern toy. It would have to come with a certificate promising delivery of all the other KR repros (and maybe some minis too!).

There are quite a few of the exclusive repaint Uni-Five Kamen Rider figures as opposed to the regular releases. The yellow gloves is painted up like the Shocker Rider, which they never made a vintage version of which is what helps drive up the prices.

Sweet, I am loving this resurgence of Kamen Rider love. Not that it went away I know, jvintage is just getting buried in all the other vinyl these days. @vintagevinyl - love it, more pics please :) So how much did the dino sell for out of curiosity. Trying to stay away from YJA these days; temptation I don't need.

Went for 16,000. I was really on the fence, thinking about how it could be repaired. The hole in the foot could be overlooked, the one in the middle of his face not so much. Steve, I bought a beat up giant mask-less rider the other day also. I think its a great toy even with no mask.

Ah, so that is not even the same one then (no hole in the mouth from what I can tell in Diceone's figure). I've got the jumbo guy standing right next to me now in fact, I love him. I actually feel I don't need the mask, the upgrade in detail and expression on the face from the Bandai standard sized figs is really impressive. One thing that I have often wondered though is why so many of these vintage guys are 'long in the leg.' I like it, definitely a unique style.

I forgot about the hole in the mouth, so yeah it's not the same one thanks for reminding me Jonathan. Lizardman villain is one of my favorites from that series. Always seems to go for a boatload though. Must be a favorite of a lot of collectors.

@ Steve- yeah I only have one jumbo- Thundermask and his legs seem to be 2/3rd of his actual height.

BTW I rotated those vintage shelves this morning higher up for better viewing.

Just found this thread!! I just got the medicom tigermask repro, and would love to find any kamen repros, bootleg or cheap originals with removable masks! I love these guys!
Did they ever make repros or boots of any of the girls?
Such great pics here! Please add more!

You will not find any cheap originals, maybe bootlegs, but originals fetch a lot of money. The only reproductions of the Bandai originals they did were by Unifive I believe. Standard size they did Kamen Rider (see pics above), Scorpion Man, Bat Man, The Wolf, Leaf guy, Mantis, and I think two Shocker henchmen that were not originals. No repro boots were sold separately. Several Bandai minis were reproduced, they are slightly smaller. I think there are about 22-24 of those (some doubles but different colors).

Now I'm off to track down unifive repros!! Sooo nice! I love that style! Between my new tiger mask repros, and the devil man ones I also just found out about I'm really jazzed!! :)
Thanks again!
