The Megalon ended at ¥370k, which actually surprised me, given that it's got writing on the feet.

For posterity.
The MechaGodzilla ended at ¥603k, the giant Takkong at ¥412.5k, the giant Astron at ¥261k, the yellow Jirass at ¥202k and the flesh Baltan at ¥73.5k.
For my money, if I had any, the winner of that group is the yellow Jirass. I know it was the most worn and had writing on the feet, but I have seen more examples of any of the other toys than I have of the yellow Jirass. The only book I have seen him in is Yuji's. I like the way he just sits at the bottom of the page with the "common" color-coded value. Plus it's a gorgeous version of Jirass.

Can someone set me up with the links to the actual auctions? I wasn't following them when they were live and would love to check out the rest of the pics - Jirass and Mamagon especially.

Some interesting ones just ended. First, I don't know how rare this is, but I've never seen one before. Its a mini patchi sofubi of Skullstar (11.5 cm). I tried for it, but the bidding got too high for me. Its very similar in appearance to the standard sized Nakajima one. I really don't like the smaller Nakajima one. Looks totally different.

Then there was this Bell Seijin giant-sized Bullmark. I forgot that there was a giant-sized figure of this (I forget that there are giant ones of lots of figures!). Not too expensive for a giant-sized vintage vinyl either.

yeah I was confused by the skullstar as well. it looked to just be the nakajima mini (version 1), but with a pachi header?
Image
kingboy, are you talking about the mini version 2? those look different, and skullstar had a silver head in that version.

Ahh, sorry, I am not a big Tigermask collector (I only like the Tigermask firgure itself and Skullstar), so I was not aware that there was a legit Nakajima vinyl like that. I was only familiar with this one:

Mach Baron set w/KSS Base on the card i had no idea existed. There was also a Godzilla set (I passed on it as a kid and it's haunted me since!)
I attempted to win this auction last week and aimed pretty high, but the auction was mysteriously pulled much to my early morning dismay.
I love the mini Baron in flying pose and the violet Shmidt.
Image
Only Missing the Kiss marine "Blob" that was in the left slot. The blister is pretty smashed, but still so cool see!
Image
One loose set turned up yesterday in pretty decent condition (Although missing the vehicles) for a short auction and I was fortunate to get it.

Congrats on the win. I was watching that carded auction - new to me too. I think that those mini vehicles are identical to the ones with one of the deluxe Denjin Zaboga, except for color. Speaking of which, I need that two-part car, in case anyone happens by some miracle to have one lying around. ;)

Dang, that is a really lovely set Paul. I can't think of ever seeing a complete one with the card either. It would be fantastic to have it all together, I love the KSS base, and the characters in their flying pose are of course fantastic. At that point having the mini ships and rockets on top of it all enters into the realm of toy glee. It's really a shame the listing was pulled for whatever reason; that is a huge personal peeve of mine with auctions, but not much you can do. Congratulations on winning the loose set though, nearly as good for my mind. I hope you can share some more photos of it once you get it in hand.

Oh I will. So strange that all my trips to Japan I've never seen one in the wild. I have a feeling the Auction was privately settled and the winner put up his old set for auction. Which worked out fine for me if he upgraded.
I do own a mini brown Bullmark Godzilla from the Toho set and I "Inadvertently" (IDIOT!) traded off the mini Mecha Godzilla i had before I had discovered it was part of the same base-set i was searching for, which also included Mothra and King-Ghidora.

I thought that the carded one was also missing part of the base? Was the loose one you bought complete?

Its amazing that every week now I am seeing more and more super rare carded vinyl sets that I've never seen before. All ending in the thousands. Wonderful to see the items, but disheartening to see the prices.

The carded one is just missing the mini sub and looks like the seller included a bonus mini in the sale.
The set i got includes all 4 OG figs and the whole base with all parts and missiles. No mini vehicle blobs.

Yeah the prices are getting crazy!

Beautiful bagged Marusan silver-eyed Mothra. Includes stamp. I guess M1 copied the vintage Marusan headers for some of theirs because this looks very familiar.

Wow that is certainly a nice one. And I am surprised at how well the baggies has held up over the years; it barely seems aged at all. I always worry a little about keeping these toys enshrouded for so long, especially if there is no air circulation (or maybe that is just what I tell myself to make the excuse to open 'em up and play to my heart's content :) ).

And yes, for anyone who is interested, M1 did pull their header stylings from the originals, as did neo-Bullmark with theirs and likewise with some others, and of course the 'new' Marusan as well.

Was that Kobe toy again? Crazy cool items passing through there.

I also saw that beauty, plus the figure I really like the art on the card.
But I do not know if the lucky winner has the courage to remove it from the bag, I think I could not.

At first it seemed that nobody was following the auction and thought would not go so expensive, but apparently everyone was crouching as predators waiting at the end of the auction.
What a shame you could not win the auction Kingboy D, it was a nice piece. :(

Best regards! :)

Great piece. And this is the smaller figure of this character. The finger puppets went for big bucks too!

Oh! Ultra Saturn is so cool. Especially like the rocket belt. It's always a treat to see something new that I don't recall having seen before.

I wonder why the Ultra Saturn was packaged in a generic bag, although the paperwork appears to have been included. I've never seen one of the Marusan originals bagged in non-Marusan packaging.

Those finger puppets were amazing... a few that were completely new to me.
