 Re: "colorways" term
Well, thinking about it certainly isn't keeping me up at night. ; ) I do think this is an interesting discussion though.
Last, yes I recall you and I discussing this Chris, but I was hazy on the details... ; )

I hate it. I also hate "paint apps," (which is a misinterpretation of "paint ops," short for "paint operations," which I also hate). Seriously? You actually feel hate for the terms "colorway" and "paint apps"? Where do you find the energy to hate words? I can't even find the energy to hate people who deserve it. What's your secret?

Someone has waaaaay too much time on there hands if all they have to worry about is 'hating' a word pairing that accurately describes a rudimentary process/action/object . . . how about 'easter egg' or 'split differential' . . . do they fall under the same criteria?

 Re: "colorways" term
I propose everyone uses "thème de couleur" ("theme de couleur"). Using French always gives some hype to basic unflavoured things ! Even in French these words sound awkward

However, I do think people use terms like "colorway" and "paint ops" to try and obfuscate the fact (usually from themselves) that they're grown adults spending money on toys. I think it's a little pretentious when people refer to a toy as a "piece," too.

I think you read too much into the motives of why people do and say things, and negatively at that. Somebody give Roger a hug.

The majority of people who collect toys don't. Quote: I think you read too much into the motives of why people do and say things, and negatively at that. Guilty as charged.
